The Blood Republic of Kerzak is a huge, efficient nation, renowned for its zero percent divorce rate, compulsory military service, and complete lack of prisons. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 956 million Kerzakians are prohibited from doing almost everything except voting, which they do timidly and conservatively.

The medium-sized, corrupt, socially-minded government is dominated by the Department of Defense, with Law & Order, Administration, and Industry also on the agenda, while International Aid and Education are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Brawle. The average income tax rate is 42.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Kerzakian economy, worth 108 trillion Tifs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, Uranium Mining, and Automobile Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 113,689 Tifs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The Brawle XV Regiment (aka "The Goat Starers") have yet to win a battle, anti-vaxxers claim that injected children are prone to psychotic breaks when they see the 'Queen of Diamonds' playing card, contestants on Kerzak's Got Talent are screened by the government to make sure that they actually have talent, and entire families swing in the wind at the national gallows. Crime, especially youth-related, is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force. Kerzak's national animal is the Warthog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.
