The Most Serene Republic of Transangaria is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its soft-spoken computers, daily referendums, and state-planned economy. The compassionate, democratic, devout population of 234 million Transangarians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The medium-sized, socially-minded, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Education, Healthcare, and Administration. The average income tax rate is 43.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Transangarian economy, worth 10.9 trillion Serebrovalyutas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is fairly diversified, is led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Cheese Exports, and Tourism. Average income is 46,447 Serebrovalyutas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

All guns must be registered, religious bigotry and a fear of outsiders have replaced religious studies in schools, there is a heavy social stigma attached to e-cigarettes, and drug lords often avoid prison time by teaching "chemistry" classes to underprivileged youth. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Transangaria's national animal is the Angaran Golden Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Transangaria is ranked 45,746th in the world and 112th in Democratic Socialist Assembly for Highest Food Quality, scoring 35.53 on the Meeshlin-Starr Index.
