Anglimerica is a relatively new nation, only a few hundred years old, that was founded by the survivors of a devastating civil war that left hundreds of thousands dead, twice as many permanently maimed or horrifically disfigured, and what was left of the country swiftly invaded by, and annexed into, its belligerent neighbor to the north. The former Ministerial Regime was overthrown, and its Parliament dissolved. What was left of the nation's once-proud Armed Forces were either disbanded or absorbed into the conquering nation's expansionist war-machine: The Old Federation was no more.
