The Matriarchy of Shaktirajya - Overview

The Matriarchy of Shaktirajya is a multi-ethnic nation* comprised of Goddess-worshipers from around the world. It is a nation in the sense that it is comprised of people (Latin. Populus. German. Volk) from many lands united in a common cause, and is not necessarily a Nation-State. The "government" is modeled after the Hindu Panchayat, or "counsel of villagers." It is a matriarchy in that women wield spiritual authority and are symbolic figureheads; i.e. vessels of Shakti, the Feminine principle. Descent is traced matrilineally from the Mother of the Clan to which a citizen belongs. Upon immigrating to Shaktirajya, and being declared fit after showing oneself to be worthy and in accord with the ideals of the land, a person may peaceably assimilate into the Gemeinschaft (German. "Community"), whereupon they may adopt a Matruvamsha or Matrugotra i.e. (Sanskrit. "Mother-clan") in accordance with their preference, or they may be assigned one by the Panchayat.

Panchayat policies vacillate between concern for the environment, seen as a physical manifestation of the Goddess, a very high degree of social liberalism, and the occasional toleration of ethical private enterprise in order to stimulate the economy. Defense spending is high because, while the country is generally peace-loving, it follows the pragmatic dictum: Si vis pacem, para bellum. (Latin. "Let him who desires peace, prepare for war.") In accordance with this sentiment, all able-bodied citizens, both male AND female, are required to perform compulsory military service. Conscientious objectors may be assigned non-combat positions.

The Official Languages of Shaktirajya are Sanskrit and German, with English serving as a language for business and international diplomacy. Shaktirajya is also at the forefront of revitalizing Latin and Classical Greek. There exist several minority languages the status of which are determined by semi-autonomous local governing bodies.

The Official Motto of the Matriarchy of Shaktirajya is Mata Devi, Matrubhumi (Sanskrit. "Mother Goddess, Motherland.")

The Flag of Shaktirajya is RED, the color of goddess-worship in Hindu culture, with a BLACK figure depicting Kālī, a fierce goddess associated with the Earth, death, and protection from evil forces, standing upon the skulls of Her demon enemies. She is the consort of Shiva, a deity associated with wild places, nature-spirits, and male generative power. The word 'KALI' written in the Sanskrit Devanagari script appears above Her head.
