Some Seevolish History

Colonized by the French, the French were at war with the British Empire so the French Taxed us even though I'm in the middle of the pacific. No French person came over here to make us do it so we just didn't. Then the war was over and they had no need to tax us. Then the French Revolution comes along and the new French Republic didn't ever establish their administration over us so we were left in anarchy for 5 years. These 5 years were known as the French Pacific Anarchy Years, or Anarchy Years for short.
Then things got to chaotic and Texans and Russians came here and basically unofficially took over the place... until they formally took over the place. They didn't like how divided the people were. The were only glad to see new people to tell them how bad a group of people with different thoughts about things should be ran and join their side. But since they had ideals on how things should be ran anyway, they decided to form a country. A Pacific-Russian-American country. This Russian person named Silin Ivan came along with his friends, Malinov Arntzen, Anism Lebadev and Zorin Illyic were apart of the continental congress. They wanted a name with meaning, not just a name with pure meaning, but not whatsoever unoriginal like the United States of America; so they made See- (sea) vol- (short for volume representing the waved) (Vladimir is a common Russian Name)-land. The name was decided - Seevoland. But then there was a problem. Seevoland wasn't just one land, barely any at all but an archipelago of over 8,200! (islands)

So Arntzen had the idea to make it See-vol in or ln (short for island). They decided to just go with one L just there was already one other. So the Federational Monarchy of Seevolin was established. A thing a forgot to mention earlier is that we didn't instantly break up from France, but we considered ourselves out in January 6th 1793. We celebrate that, as Independence Day. The first National Holiday. Turtles were always a tourist attraction for the few tourists we had, generally helped out the community. This lead to Turtle's being the national animal of Seevolin on May 23rd 1854. Turtle's in Seevolish English will always use Turtles capitalized in sentences. They are sacred. The government was a constitutional parliamentary monarchy. The person in charge would be the Island Turtle and was a dictatorship. The first Island Turtle was actually elected by parliament to be Colonel Silin Ivan. The Island Leader had to chose one person of his choosing take his place when he dies. You cannot resign unless you have given 8 years into ruling (then you have the choice), are physically permanently unable to, or was destroying the country. In order to keep from not knowing who you are going to choose when they die, they sign a paper. This paper is called Turtle Grand Transfer Contract. It acts as one of the 2 defining papers of Seevolin.
