Major Vehicle Manufacturers

Longhorn Truck Co.

Longhorn Truck Company was founded in 1889 as Longhorn Ranching Company. They produced saddles for horses and sometimes produced wagons, as well as hand tools.

In 1914, after the kickstarting of the Emnarian domestic car industry, Longhorn Ranching Co. decided to build a truck. They had found that these new motor vehicles could haul more than horses could, at speeds up to 30 miles an hour. The first truck, the Longhorn Ox, was a relative success. With each truck being handmade, the production time was extremely slow, and, parts were not easily interchangeable. But, the trucks performed great, and they sold 3 models in 1914, followed by 4 in 1915.

In 1920, after limited production of the Longhorn Ox, the company built their first, mass produced truck. The owner of the company, John Lee Arnold, had always struggled with the difficulties of hand-built trucks. He, along with a few of his friends and a mechanical engineer who had helped with streamlining ocean liner production, devised a 'production line' system.

The Longhorn "Truck Model 1920", became a big success, selling 150+ models a year. In the early days of the company, the trucks were akin to semi-trucks, being designed for industrial use only.

Soon, the average driver, especially as rural areas became more populated, needed a heavy duty vehicle of their own. So, in 1931, Longhorn produced the T1, a light pickup truck designed to haul loads like firewood in its pickup bed, while driving over rough terrain.

Since that first pickup, Longhorn has made better and better pickups, as well as delving into the semi-trucks industry again.

The Longhorn T15 is a light-duty pickup designed to get good gas mileage, be inexpensive, and still be able to haul loads like furniture. The T15 is rated for 1/4 ton. Although it isn't a racecar, it has a top speed of 95 mph.

The Longhorn T300 is a medium-duty pickup, first entering production in 1974. This pickup is rated to carry 3/4 of a ton, with coilover shocks for a more comfortable ride.. It's top speed is 140 mph. The T300 uses the 6.0L V8 Turbodiesel engine, allowing it the power to go anywhere. The manual locking front wheel hubs on the truck, means that with 4 wheel drive it can tackle many types of rough terrain. The durable leather seats and wood panel interior give this truck the perfect aesthetic for the tough life it'll have on the ranch. The truck has a 6 foot bed, with a hideaway 5th wheel hitch under a detachable panel. As for towing suspension, the truck has solid rear axle suspension, and dual I-beam suspension in the front. The T300 has 4 seats, a bluetooth stereo from the factory, built in smoking accomodations, and a heater/ac.

The T300 is designed to be affordable, and sells for an affordable 13,636.36 ENK (15,000 USD).

The Longhorn T400 is the bigger, more powerful brother of the T300. The T400 is rated for a whole 1 ton in the bed. This version of the T-series comes with a built in fifth wheel hitch.

This 1 ton truck retails for 16,818.18 ENK (18,500 USD).

The T500 is the ultra-heavy-duty version of the super-heavy-duty T400. Being a dually, the T500 can carry 1-1/2 tons in the bed. The double air bag suspension allows the truck to comfortably haul heavy loads. This truck is a top choice for the toughest work. It uses the special, 6.8L V10 Turbodiesel, an expanded version of the 6.0L V8 Turbodiesel. The 555 horsepower of the V10 Turbodiesel, and 1,010 ft/lbs of torque allow this truck to finish any job.

This truck has a price of 19,090.90 ENK (21,000 USD).

The TR1400 is the smallest of the TR series semi-trucks. It is a heavy-duty short-haul truck, designed for industries like logging and mining. The TR1400 is a standard frame truck, with two rear axles and one front axle. The TR truck series all shares the KAT R1009 diesel motor, paired with the MEI XE4 electric generator and MEI XE90 electric drive axle, gives this line of semi-trucks great fuel mileage, and more than enough power. The TR1400 can be fitted with many different platforms, from fifth wheel hitches, to flatbeds, to log frames. This truck has seen the most sales, being used by many different companies, and sold to export.

This truck sells in it's base configuration for 20,000 ENK (22,000 USD).

The 6.0 Liter V8 Turbodiesel is easily the most famous engine in Emnaria. First being produced in 1999, it has been the top choice for truck engines. This engine is well known for its distinct sound, with a deep roar above 3500 rpm, and a loud whistle from the turbo. It is also capable of "rolling coal", but not the consistent dark clouds which the bigger 6.8L is capable of. There are aftermarket parts licensed through Longhorn, which can adjust the higher rpm fuel ratio, to "roll coal" for longer periods of time.

The 6.0L is an 8-cylinder, 2-bank, turbocharged engine, cranking out 410 horsepower. The 6.0L uses a 5-valve, dual overhead cam (DOHC) valve train, and a 4-2-1 split exhaust manifold. The engine is a non-interference engine, using electronic sensors connecting to an electronic control module (ECM), to time the 4-stroke engine. Instead of using head bolts, the engine uses 3/4 inch head studs. As far as fuel delivery goes, the engine is fuel injected, using hydraulically activated, electronically controlled unit, injectors (HEUI). The fuel injection controls module (FICM) controls the HEUI. The engine is not naturally aspirated, using a Stage-2, 9-blade turbofan variable-geometry turbo (VGT). The engine is water-cooled, using a radiator and fan connected to the crankshaft (with an electronic fan clutch). The engine has an intercooler positioned in front of the radiator, to cool off the air being fed to the engine by the turbo. The oil passes through two filters, preventing dirt/debris from entering the engine. The engine block is fitted with a heater to warm up the oil and increase its viscosity when the vehicle is parked in cold weather (also called a "block heater"). On the opposite side of the coin, the block has a built in oil-cooler to prevent the oil from overheating gaskets and o-rings. To move the oil through the two filters and the cooler, the high-pressure oil pump (HPOP) moves oil at a very high pressure. The cylinder heads have an 18.0:1 compression ratio. The engine block is made of cast iron, as well as the cylinder heads.

The 6.8L V10 Turbodiesel is a diesel motor based on the 6.0L V8 Turbodiesel. It is commonly used in heavier duty work trucks. The 6.8L is the big brother of the 6.0L engine. The 6.8L has been produced in some form since 1994. It was this engine which led to the development of the 6.0L as a more compact pickup engine. A key characteristic of this engine, known well by passerbys of any truck fitted with this engine, is its tendency to "roll coal". If the driver shifts the transmission into a lower gear (for a heavier truck it could be 1st gear, for a regular pickup more likely 2nd gear), and then rapidly accelerates, the intake of rich diesel fuel into the cylinders will exhaust a sooty black cloud of smoke. This can be a joy to those driving, and quite the annoyance to onlookers.

The 6.8L is a 10-cylinder, 2-bank, supercharged engine, cranking out 555 horsepower. The 6.8L uses a 5-valve, DOHC valve train, and a 5-3-1 split exhaust manifold. The engine is a non-interference engine, using electronic sensors connecting to an ECM, to time the 4-stroke engine. The engine uses 3/4 inch head studs to secure the cylinder heads. The engine uses HEUI injectors. The FICM controls the HEUI. The engine is not naturally aspirated, using 2, Stage-2, 9-blade turbofan VGT. The engine is water-cooled, using a radiator and fan connected to the crankshaft (with a fan clutch). The engine has an intercooler positioned in front of the radiator, to cool off the air being fed to the engine by the turbo. The oil passes through two filters, preventing dirt/debris from entering the engine. The engine block is fitted with a heater to warm up the oil and increase its viscosity when the vehicle is parked in cold weather. To prevent overheating, the block has a built in oil-cooler to prevent the oil from overheating gaskets and o-rings. To move the oil through the two filters and the cooler, the HPOP moves oil at a very high pressure. So that the engine doesn't explode from the 18.0:1 compression ratio, the block and cylinder heads are made of cast iron. They are also more durable than aluminum.

KVT Motors

KVT began as a passenger car company in the 1930's. They produced 4-seater sedans for an affordable price. As "hot rods" became popular in the 40's and 50's, the company began designing and producing more and more "shelf rods", hot rods that could be bought in a dealer. The company became known for heavy but powerful cars, usually 2-seaters. In the early 60's, as engines became better, KVT became one of the first companies to produce muscle cars. In 1963 muscle cars made 89% of the company's profit. So, in 1964 and the following years the company prioritized muscle cars. Since then, KVT has become known for its muscle cars and affordable sports cars.

The KVT Champion 70 is a muscle car that was introduced to the domestic market in 1970. It was the first muscle car with removeable glass roof panels and gull-wing doors. The car has a distinct V-shaped grille, and black base coat with gold trim. This is the only option of paint for this car, but it wasn't designed for aesthetic diversity. Where the car really shines is power.

The car has a 480 horsepower 6.6L V8 turbocharged gasoline engine. This engine is a mechanical-interference, fuel injected engine, utilizing a common rail design. The engine has a singular, 9-blade turbo, giving it increased suction for the air intake. The weight of the car and high horsepower (hint hint, can be improved with a tuner also sold by KVT) make it a very controllable car. It has a top speed of 164 mph.

It is a 2 seat car, having a radio with built in 8-track tape player (KVT now sells a bluetooth/disc drive retrofit kit). The car has a 5-speed manual transmission, but can be ordered with an automatic version.

This car retails on the market for 25,454.54 ENK (28,000 USD).
