Third National Assembly Elections

The Third National Assembly Elections were elections held on 25 APR 434 NT in The Imperial Federation of Improper Classifications to elect persons to the National Assembly.

The election resulted in the active ruling coalition, the Coalition for Democracy, win an additional 11 seats, with the core party United Democracy Front winning 12 more seats, increasing their share of the seats to 155. In the opposition, the Opposition Coalition lost 16 seats, dropping their total to 50. Non-coalition parties, including the Centrist Party, also profited, winning 5 additional seats total.

Campaign
The campaign generally centered around the UDF's continued leadership, with the Democratic Front campaigning on their continued economic success as well as their political competence and foreign successes. The UDF also touted its diverse leadership and various scandals on the opposition side, including the Conservatives' leader Ahana Torin's sex scandal.

The opposition campaign largely reverted to similar attacks as were provided in the previous two campaigns, including various unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud surrounding the first election and a fake cyber crime accusation against the standing Deputy Prime Minister, Hailstone Krevin. Additionally, three weeks before the election, the National Front and Imperial Front announced a union called the National Coalition.

Conduct & Turnout
Early elections began three days before the main polls opened. An estimated 22 percent of the voting populace voted early, the National Coalition leaders among them.

Election day elections were run from 9:00 to 19:00, in accordance with the Elections Law. Vote counting was complete by the next day.

Records show that the elections had the second-highest turnout at 79.97 percent, compared to the First elections at 82.14% and the Second at 76.11%. It should be noted that Improper Classifications has constitutionally compulsory voting.
