South Radozary

South Radozary, officially the Democratic Republic of Radozary (DRR; Radozar: Ra'Dozary Pihulëjy Gùvulawa; RDPG), is a partially recognized totalitarian state in Northeast Uwhurg. Currently involved in the Second Radozarian Civil War, South Radozary claims authority over all of Radozary since the end of the First Radozarian Civil War (1962-1969) that led to their partition, although large parts of its claim are controlled by the Republic of Radozary (North Radozary; RRY). In October 1987—more than fourteen years before the outbreak of the ongoing conflict—volunteer South Radozarian forces, composed mainly of soldiers of northern origin whose families had relocated to the DRR at the end of the Civil War, had clandestinely entered the RRY and established the North Radozary Liberation Army (NRLA) in Tyn Ehneib Province to coordinate an insurgent guerrilla movement in the North with DRR military training. They engaged in small-scale operations until the issuance of the January 2002 Proclamation that started the Second Civil War, in which the NRLA fights alongside regular units of the South Radozarian National Army of Radozary (NAR) to overthrow the North Radozarian government and unify Radozary. To this day, both groups have managed to seize over 30% of RRY territory and the NRLA also continues its periodic attacks in major urban areas.

The Democratic Republic of Radozary was proclaimed on 2 June 1969 after the Ehramsweld Protocol provided for the partition of the existing Republic of Radozary into two states when negotiations for a permanent agreement collapsed following the southern rejection of the RRY's terms for their surrender and reincorporation into a united Radozary. The new state was led by Professor Bê Gzamha, leader of the rebel forces and former Minister of Education of the Republic of Radozary. His vision for the country was shaped by a desire to see "prosperity within a lifetime" for the Radozarian people. To achieve this goal, he quickly dispensed with the idea of democracy and devised an alternative political philosophy purportedly beyond the left–right political spectrum, Gzamhism, which would become the official ideology of the state and shape all aspects of South Radozarian life. Gzamha established the necessary mechanisms for his regime to outlive him despite the uncertainty brought about by the country's domestic production challenges and complicated diplomatic situation. He ruled firmly until his death in 1996, opposing any direct confrontation with the RRY. However, he eagerly devised and sponsored the NRLA's insurgent activities in the north. In contrast, Gzamha's designated successor as Great Teacher of the Radozarian Nation (head of state of the DRR), Ié Hbimï, is an ardent nationalist and his desire to forcibly unify with the north eclipsed all the ideological enclaves left by Gzamha. War with the RRY eventually became an absolute priority and to carry it out, South Radozary turned into a police state with a cult of personality centered around the late Gzamha and Hbimï himself. Even the state ideology was modified to reference Hbimï's totalitarian nationalist stances (Nationalist Gzamhism), which went beyond the authoritarian rule of his predecessor. His focus on national pride, a core principle of Nationalist Gzamhism, has seen an increase in both internal and external propaganda efforts, something unheard of under Gzamha.
