You are probably a new nation who has no idea what is going on around here and why, or you might be a veteran leader who wants some questions answered, or you might also be a foreign nation who simply seeks more information about who we are and what we do. Fret not, for the Arkana Coalition Introduction Directive (ACID) has been designed keeping all that in mind and is here to serve those exact purposes!

The following sections and the page links given above will guide your journey through the world of Arkana Coalition and answer most, if not all questions you might have. However, if you still feel something is amiss or you have any questions unanswered, please don't hesitate to contact our Founder, Tricorniolis, via the telegram option, and they will be more than happy to help you out. Also, even if you are a new nation, you are always welcome to participate in any regional activity as long as you meet the requirements, so feel free to apply for any position, give us ideas on how to improve and provide honest feedback about your experience!

The formation of Arkana Coalition was the result of a long chain of events that began with Google autocorrecting a search for 'station simulation' into 'nation simulator'. Thankfully, the person who stumbled across the NationStates site all those years ago had no idea that this would become their second home one day. Despite the daunting task of catching up with the diverse and highly complex gameplay by the internet community over twenty years, they persevered and became increasingly engrossed at the sheer potential for freedom of imagination in this world. Over the years, they discovered a vibrant, alive community, issues plaguing their nation every six hours, a global institution at the center of many conspiracies, a massive world, the God that is Max Barry, the time-honoured tradition of April Fools, an international artwork market, a ranking system by the world census experts, nuclear armageddons, zombie apocalypses, haggling in world bazaars, and most finally, their new home : the region.

However, it wasn't always this sugar and caramel, as plunging headfirst into something so sophisticated and large was disorienting and disheartening in the beginning, so they made three very important decisions which changed everything to come --- they decided to be patient and learn more about the world of NationStates and build up their experience; they decided to be active so regularly that it becomes as easy as breathing, because toughing it out with interest through the first few days and months with the same momentum is difficult, but extremely rewarding later as you explore and discover the freedom and magical wonder of NationStates; and most importantly, they made a very influential choice of their new home : their new region. They spent time in many regions, searching for a place that aligned with their visions. But finding none, they decided to go out and form their own region : The Arkana Coalition, the place where the ideals of solidarity among allies, democracy for the people and international federalism to unite the world are cherished and held sacred. If you believe in solidarity, democracy and international federalism, congratulations on being at the right place, and welcome to Arkana Coalition!

If you are new here at Arkana Coalition or new to NationStates in general, the following are the list of things you should do to cement your position here :

• Change your telegram preferences : The inbox size for your nation is limited, and a full inbox won't receive any messages at all, even important ones! To stop receiving unnecessary telegrams, go to telegram preferences and switch the recruitment type to block all.

• Say hello on our Regional Message Board : One of the first things to do is introduce yourself on our regional message board. This will help many people notice you faster, answer your questions quickly, help you know others and get involved quicker. Just make sure you follow our Messaging Guidelines!

• Get an understanding of our Constitution : The Dryas Charter is our regional constitution, which establishes all rules regulations of our region. You can telegram the author, Tricorniolis, to add your nation's name as a signatory to the Charter!

• Join the WASP : Joining our World Assembly Sponsorship Programme is an essential requirement for elevating your nation's status from Observer to Member-nation. For more information on why you should participate in the WASP, visit [url]this page[/url].

• Apply for Membership : Simply being in the region only gives you 'Observer' status. Become a Member-nation by completing a few simple requirements, and you will eligible to participate in the various regional programmes, joint cooperatives and ventures, elections and much more!
