Flora and Fauna

The Subcon River is the biggest stream in Nexonia. On its southern bank are Castelreagh, Xahlwu'tek, Mouryo and Klepali states, including the Camazonia jungle wilderness. The furthest east we move towards the eastern seaboard the greater the humidity and tropical climate, however, this is very different compared with the Seist Desert and the Shervinaya Plateaux which lie south of Klepali and Camazonia. The northern bank of the Subcon belongs to Troikaya; Troikayan climate is higher in altitude and a is far more temporate and chillier in contrast to the southern bank.

Camazonia is east-most and east of Klepali. Klepali, once originally thought to be a Mediterranean paradise when settled on originally in 1982 has now become a sub-tropical semi-swamp especially in its eastern counties. Mushroom Co. is almost entirely overrun by Camazonia's vegetation. A jungle is creeping its way across Klepali at a worrying speed and one of the Klepalian State Legion's occupations is beating back the zealous fauna. Klepalian leader, Alyssa Tempest has declared Camazonian jungle expansion a threat to the Klepalian way of life and labelled it a threat nearly as much as foreign invasion. Top scientists like Rabyte Shervin and Yensi Gorma have confirmed the nexonium is to blame.

Consequently, the wildlife has evolved.

Gators are a related to Alligators but are smaller, more vicious and easier to kill than their bigger, slower and more armoured counterparts. Gators have evolved to be more manoeuvrable, like the jungle as they make their new homes in the bayous of Klepali. They are the reason why so many people every year get severely injured or killed in the Klepali swamps, most happening at night.

Starmans/starmen are like the starfishes found like most on Earth; they have five limbs and come in a variety of colours. What is unique about the starman is its bizarre tendency to absorb nexonium causing them to shine like light bulbs so bright, it would in fact hurt your eyes to look at them too long. They also frequently change colours even as they are submerged underwater. They can even stand up on two legs and walk around although this is not a frequent habit, children adore them for this reason. Unfortunately, they are so nexonium contanimated, they are a radiation hazard, even to the citizens of the confederation and other flora and fauna. Even to natives who have been born into and grown up all their lives with the nexonium, contact with starmen is best avoided.
