It's official, Adaptus is the more cultured Aroman successor.

Is it? I see Prousa is 6th while you're 9th. Not to mention far behind that other Aroman shadow, Suverina in 2nd.

Hello folks!

Hello Ulan-gol. :) How are you today?

Welcome, welcome, welcome to "last weeks tonight"! I'm Orioni. Time now for a quick recap of the news.

1. Featured. Time flies when you're having fun. A new month, a new FNOTM, handpicked by Kirvina "Seylos is my pick for next month; I'm choosing him because his naval adventures are a sight to behold, his impending tangle with Derthalen is gripping, and his dogged pursuit of adapting a British theme to a fantasy world is, of course, interesting to watch. He's also excellent in conversation, and has a good grip on how his nation works- all around a great person and a good writer who deserves to get the spotlight." Time flies when you're having fun. He's also excellent in conversation, and has a good grip on how his nation works- all around a great person and a good writer who deserves to get the spotlight." The land of King Aidan Redmond is ranked in the worldwide top 10% for: recreational drugs use.

The Kingdom of Seylos is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants, irreverence towards religion, and absence of drug laws. The democratic population of 1.234 billion Seylosians love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

The large, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Education, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 43.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but inefficient Seylosian economy, worth 41.0 trillion Seyts a year, is quite specialized and led by the Furniture Restoration industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Pizza Delivery. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 33,243 Seyts, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Maxtopian tourists make expensive pilgrimages to Seylos City to enjoy their national art, the Finance Ministry posts hourly updates on where taxpayer money is spent, large sections of Seylos have been named national reserves to protect the native tribes living there, and graverobbers claim they're acting within the interest of 'scientific preservation'. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Seylos's national animal is the Dog, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

2. Birthday. Believe it or not, but this region was founded over 15 years ago. Which means in January we celebrated another birthday. It was nice to see some oldtimers like Wellsy of Cabarria return to say hi. That was really nice.

3. Roleplaying. The staff, including mentors and moderators, has prepared a nice schedule of organised RP's for 2019. This is a list of organised stories we'd like to run. Some of these stories are also expected to be recurring at regular intervals. For example: sports events, alliance meetings, cultural awards. View the schedule >> http://www.europans.com/topic/5305-rp-schedule-for-2019/

4. Map. Our different versions of the map are being reviewed. Kirvina is tweaking the biomes. Myself, I'm etching the mountains towards a more realistic version. Every month we get better and better. Consult the map >> http://www.europans.com/map/

5. Activity. Never a dull moment on our forums and Discord. Feel free to drop by!

Hi Orioni - I'm very well thanks! How are you doing?

You might remember me as Ide Jima - It's been a while since I played! It is great to see Europa doing so well - NS is almost completely different to how I remember it As I don't have a clue how all of these new features work, I figured it might be better to start afresh with a new nation!

I'll hope to get involved on the forum later on today!

Hello the old timer. Welcome back. Would you believe only last week we were discussing the Long War? What are the chances?

Restarting in this changed game can be overwhelming. Features were added, such as dispatches and officers and polls. And our little corner of NS has changed as well. With Invisionfree quitting, we were forced to upgrade. Lucky for you, your old account and all its content still exist. So if you want I can reset your old password. (Just telegram me with the email address you'd like to use.)

Let's talk more later. :) Glad to see you're back.

O man, this sleeping giant waking up managed to wake me from my slumber as well! Really happy whenever a mythical figure such as Ide Jima wakes up. It would make me really happy if you'd check out our community discord, the link to which is in the region's world fact book.
Also, welcome to all the new people who've joined over the course of the last three months!

These giants scare me. Their nations are/almost are as old as me O_O

Tagmatium wrote:He's an old member and his nation is still on the map.

Yes, but what does all this have to do with my order of some poll?

sorry for the slowness ... Stirba tries to kill me for snus snus

Carpatos wrote:Yes, but what does all this have to do with my order of some poll?

Oh, I quoted the wrong post originally.

Sorry, I was doing it on my mobile.

That's my fault.

It's a fair point! I should stick with Ide Jima after all, seeing as I put in so many hours, and I'm still on the map! (Plus somehow, I managed to remember my forum login)

Welcome Santa Helena. :) How are you today?

Hey everyone!
..a question: in the graph of 3 lines of economy, political and civil liberties; If the lines are straight or with little movement, does that mean that the player does not play?

Carpatos Not always. A player can still be active in the game, just not answering issues. Because, for example, the issues tend to become repetitive. You can also have a look at the time they were last active. It is displayed at the bottom of the nation overview page, right under the long text description. For example, yours states: "Most Recent Government Activity: 2 hours ago."

Good evening! Read all about the upcoming tournament here, produced by LNN with contributions from officials from each region involved!

LEAGUE'S NEWS NETWORK

LCN AND PARTNER REGIONS PREPARE FOR INTERREGIONAL FOOTBALL CUP
Recently, The League of Conservative Nations' administration has begun discussions about a soccer tournament. After some debate regarding how the event would be organized, it has been agreed that eight regions will be granted participation in the Interregional Football Cup, as it is called. The teams participating are:

Eagles, representing The League of Conservative Nations

"The eagle has been a symbol pictured on the LCN flag for a very long time. On our flag, seals, and it was the blazing logo next to the arrow of progress for our National Committee of Reconstruction among many other things. It has symbolized LCN resolve through good and bad, and our continual strive to improve our great community. It is a regional symbol through and through and a perfect choice for our mascot." - Quebecshire

Valiant Vertibirds, representing Europa

"This name is the reappropriation of one particularly dark episode in our history. Fortunately, within this challenging time, we found a point of light and inspiration. Today, we can poke a laugh at the vertibird and not take ourselves too serious. Also, not to be underestimated, is the VV's team coach: Mr Jorge Washington." - Orioni

Wabbits, representing Enadia

". . . as for our, may I say, unique name, I originally proposed to our citizens in the discord that we become the wolves . . . Well then someone bought up the idea that we have something related to Satan/Walter . . . , a long time member of the region and upstanding Grand Officer of the discord server who has been a very active face in the region’s affairs. I and a fellow Enadian were joking about possibly the Demons or Devils. Then, speak of the devil, he showed up and proposed the Rabbits (Satan likes rabbits a lot.) After some lighthearted back and forth, we compromised on Wabbits. I’d like to think it makes for a nice inside joke." - Green Africa

Football Federation, representing Council of Islamic States

Fighters, representing The Free Nations Region

Minutemen, representing The Federation of Conservative Nations

White Eagles, representing The Union of Democratic States

Cape of Good Hope's team, whose name is yet to be defined

When asked about the start date for the competition, Chief Consul Quebecshire replied that it should start this Saturday. The organizer also reported that he expects this event to supplant previous attempts to bring regions together, which he deemed "simple, fun side projects", rather than more elaborate ideas to improve relations with neighbors and generate activity. Withal, a more ambitious version of the tournament hosted by the LCRUA months ago is expected.

The rest of the Consulate expressed similar feelings regarding the tournament. Consul Eminople stated that he loves the idea of hosting it, and believes it will give the region exposure and consolidate its culture. Consul Caezar expressed amazement at how, despite the limited resources involved, multiple regions and hundreds of nations are still able to partake in the event.

Expectations for the tournament are high among region representatives: Hadhari, from the Council of Islamic States, expects no less than the first place in the competition. Other representatives have expressed interest in reaching at least the semifinals.

Interest has also been shown in the development of future events. President Green Africa, from Enadia, stated: "I think this is a great start for the prospect of future events and collaborations for the participating regions. I think it would be nice to have something possibly organized by the LCN and the other member regions that would be able to come together and plan these things out".

Similarly, Orioni, from Europa, stated: "Moments like this bring out a remarkable passion and diversity. If this event brings out similar fervour, I would be very much in favour of more of the same".

Bearded Dragones, from Cape of Good Hope, explained that "this is probably the most activity we [from Cape of Good Hope] have had on our RMB in at least a month", and manifested interest in future events of the sort.

In conclusion, the League of Conservative Nations and other participating regions can definitely expect a lot from this tournament, both in terms of activity and friendship. As the region attempts to regain its interregional strength, projects like this are of great importance.
