The runaway success of the military in the several engagements they have been involved in has led to increasing patriotism and national pride. Due to this, the hardline militant faction called the Freedom Guard has taken a simple majority in the Council of Delegates. Interestingly, the retired Admiral Alan Corvast, who was notable for his involvement and leadership in the naval task force that helped in the Verwisian Civil War, made appearances in a series of public addresses. Using firey and hardline rhetoric to galvanize the usually apathetic voting block of young officers and military personnel to not only vote for the Freedom Guard but also get himself prominence in the party and elected as Elector Premiere. His appointment speech used a lot of rhetoric about "protecting freedom in the glalaxy" and "standing on New Arkonian founding priciples" in much the same as Winston Churchill's "We will fight them on the beaches" broadcast. Indeed a historic speech for the ages! Many diplomats who were not military personnel were replaced overnight. What could this mean for their involvement going forward?
