HEKTE: The Official Currency of Townsvalley

THE CURRENCY OF TOWNSVALLEY IS 'HEKTE' AND SMALL UNIT IS 'HEKTA'.
Symbol: Ħ

Townsvalley's offical currency is Hekte, Hekte has been the official currency since the creation of Townsvalley, Except when King Novagen II changed it to Sol , but it was reverted after his death. Hekte has seen ups and downs. It was exchanged for 0.57 against the NSD for almost 200 Years, Then Due to War with Karderia, It lost it's value, fell to 0.66 against the NSD. then, after dissolution of the country for several years. It came back (when The country was restored), it was traded against the dollar for 50-60 Hekte , then it shot up to 100 against the dollar, and then it crashed to 1,000,000+ Hekte against the Dollar. At that time, Banknotes were replaced with Debit/credit cards. After Implementation of Democracy, It was then fixed with TRD for 1.8167 (Notes were added again due to TRD Peg 10 September, 2020) , After that, it was fixed with Hepek for the same amount. On 20 August, 2021, Hekte was converted to floating currency. This legislation was passed after Eight Parliament Sessions.
First Parliament Session Held on 17 August, 2021
Fifth Parliament Session Held on 18th August, 2021
Eighth Parliament Session Held on 20th August, 2021
Soon After the Legislation, The Currency , then shifted to FIAT, it's Goldbacking was removed for the first time in known Hhistory on 30 August, 2021
The Hekte is the official currency of Townsvalley and nations must request to use the currency in their own nations, the nation must inform the Govt. of Townsvalley before implementing the Hekte in their financial institutions.

2. Palcania - Former

Interesting. The colors are quite vibrant, but I feel they might he a little lopsided (all bright red on only half).

Also Prussia Republican Kingdom I'll be getting to that overview of factbook stuff today. Been busy with life stuff and other things.

why is it named balder?

Artic foxy wrote:why is it named balder?

Named after the Norse deity Balder (also spelled Baldur or Baldr), god of light, justice and mercy, joy and purity, peace and forgiveness. He was slain by accident due to the manipulations of Loki, but was prophesied to be revived after Ragnarok to join the Sons of Odin in ruling over the world that comes after it.

Since this is one of the regions where re-founded nations go, the death-and-rebirth symbolism is very intentional. (The other two original regions for that purpose are Lazarus, famously revived by Jesus, and Osiris, the Egyptian deity who died and was reassembled by Isis, with the assistance of Nepthys, Thoth, and Anubis.)

Chapter 1: The Braying of the Earth

The Great Light of 1907, the Formans called it. For one hour, the sky shone brighter than before. While luckily no one was blinded, it became quite the talk for a while. Some saw it as a sign from the gods, others believed it was an astronomical event. But for the Antareans, many took it as the former. The emperor of Antares, Kalvin Tau, interpreted it as a sign that the gods had given their blessing of the inevitable conquest of the Centauran continent.

Unfortunately, it would not be. Within the Inanis Ocean, the emptiness was filled with lands from another world. Three nations that were becoming a rising star in their world, Balder. The epitome of modernity, the perfect representation of the past, present, and future, and three windows of the Tower Tarot.

The first of them to come was the Crowned Confederation of Prusa, a land that, while aged, has endured and slowly returned to its former glory. Its troops are hardy, its soldiers tougher than steel, earning a moniker not unlike its otherworldly namesake. Under the rule of Herrscher Leutgard, Prusa has seen its voice heard in the Balderian Assembly.

The second was the Sovereign Federation of Cordya. A land of freedom, liberty, fraternity, and justice, it has sought to uphold the rights of the individual. As descendants of the Navigator, the Northrons, and Prusans who explored the seas, they seek to boast a powerful navy to roam the waters again, as their forefathers have done. At the helm lay the stalwart Chancellor John Eleazarsson Stirling.

The third, and last, was the Federated States of Aleysia. Situated on a series of long islands just west of Cordya, it is described by many Balderians as the peak of modernity. If Prusa ruled the land and Cordyans the sea, the Aleysians would rule the skies. Armed with the latest jets and the finest pilots to be trained, the Aleysian Aeroforce acquired the reputation as the “Angels of Death”. Guiding the wings of Aleysia was Ezekiel Lamoine, a proud President of the Federated States.

Together, the Triumvirate found themselves in a new world, with no way home. While Aleysia and Cordya did not suffer as much due to having little to no land connection, Prusa, who was once majorly connected to the land, now had to deal with the fallout of being an island, though whatever brought them there tried to lessen the damage as much as possible.

The three new nations gathered themselves to see what they were left with. Their militaries were intact, anyone overseas was reunited with their family, and most importantly, their satellites were brought along. While not immediate, their satellites revealed entirely different land masses, with signs of civilization present. Alarmingly, however, there appeared a fleet of ships heading for Prusa…..

Inanis Ocean, 1907
CIS Battlegroup Lupa

Admiral Harris Kusz gazed over the eternal vastness of the Inanis Ocean. While it had long been accepted that the vastness of the ocean made it impractical to travel across it, the higher-ups back home still wished to explore it. As such, the Navy was given more nuances than the Army, and of all the people they could have chosen, he became the first to be sent out.

For three consecutive weeks, there has been nothing but water. Occasionally was the leap of fishes, birds, and dolphins, but alas, the ocean lived up to its name. He sighed, wondering if there was something in the Inanis Ocean. Later on, he would regret thinking this when one of his aides shook him awake.

“Sir! Sir! Contact made! Contact made! Unknown vessels ahead!” Kusz hastily put on his captain uniform, barely finishing by the time he made it to the bridge. “What are we looking at, Calder?” he asked his navigator.

The man looked away from the viewport, turning towards Kusz. “An entirely different battlegroup. No known identifications, no known models we are aware of, and strangely enough, no known nation we know of,” Calder explained. “According to them, they are trespassing on…’ Prusan’ waters, and that any expression of force from us will be met with retaliatory force.”

Kusz himself snorted but recomposed himself. “At least they had the decent to inform us. Very well then, prepare a delegation.” He looked down at the papers he brought with them. Despite common belief, King Frederick Scapha of Cetus believed something was in the Inanis Ocean. Even people. In his haste, he grabbed a packet of documents at the bottom of the piles of papers he was given.

Perhaps those spooks were not crazy after all.

Goodnight and Triumph Prussia.

I don't have the time to really look deep into it, but it kinda looks like Amharic upon first glance. What exactly are you trying to aim for?

Are the symbols on the right side stick figures or more complicated letter forms? They look a lot like stick figures doing various poses.

I changed my flag since the old one was decorated with monarchist symbols, I know it kinda looks like I pulled it out of the garbage. Not much I can do since I don't have any ideas for a republican flag beyond the stereotypical tricolor.

Greater Westfalen wrote:I changed my flag since the old one was decorated with monarchist symbols, I know it kinda looks like I pulled it out of the garbage. Not much I can do since I don't have any ideas for a republican flag beyond the stereotypical tricolor.

Nah, this is a perfectly cromulent flag. Tricolor is an old reliable standard. Red, white, and green are all common flag colors, while avoiding the stereotypical blue. The symbol at the center is very slightly overly detailed, but not a problem, and helps distinguish it from the Hungarian flag (which has no symbol and has green at the bottom, rather than red.)

I'd give it a solid 8/10. It isn't fancy or anything, but it's a good flag Bront. Reliable and functional, which a good flag should be.

Happy Prrrrrrrim to all cats of NS!

Hello everyone, and to Aelyria... I need urgent advice, my economy has dropped a bit and my freedoms have also fallen because of a terrorist group... I feel like I can never reach the perfect nation I once wanted...
