You can see something as subjective but that doesn’t make it so, for example a view that the moon is made of cheese is subjective, a view that the moon is not made of cheese is objective because there’s verifiable unarguable proof. For the entire thing to be subjective no matter who says what you’d require the thing to actually be based around feeling and belief in the first place rather than fact no?

Again, this is the position of only a fraction of people. For other fraction, official facts mean nothing. Such people may have their own facts or "facts". Thus, they have their objectivity corresponding to their subjectivity. As Ottterland said, everything in our world is relative. And everyone chooses for themselves which side they want to be on

A persons “truth” is not equivalent to the truth. It is physically impossible to change something like the moon purely by belief, if you blew it up with nukes and exchanged it for a large ball of cheese the size of the moon (wrapped in metal to protect it from space) only then would the moon be made of cheese but that would require action not just an opinion.

Merry Christmas y'all!

Merry Christmas!

Yes. As Skalliad said, there will be people who support things even though everyone tells them they're wrong. Even if it is a lie, it is Their truth. The beauty of human thought.

Correct. But someone could have an idea different from actual fact. Maybe the moon is made out of some sort of special space cheese; or maybe the moon we see is a model of the original, that was stolen years ago. Or maybe there isn't a moon, because space is a lie.

There are many things in where we have changed our point of view. While most ideas have just been accepted, others are still cause of controversy; for example climate change.

Is there scientific proof that climate change exists? Yes, there is.
Do some people still deny it? Yes, some people do.

I can see how everything people think can be subjective due to our individual understanding, I just interpreted the discussion as that actually being something that affects what is objective which for me 🟰 “error 404 does not compute”.

Has anyone ever seen Yahlia and Santa Claus in the same room before? For all we know they may be the same person 🤔

Hello! We new nations should stick together

Also, a life update:

  • I passed this semester in school (almost flunked, but here we are; can't believe I almost failed English), 3 down, 3 to go!

  • I'm writing a novel (it's titled "Lost Cause", and let's say, it gets quite personal, the story happened to me)
(on that note, i need someone to do some sketches for the book, if you're interested, hit me up!)

  • I had the will to get a job, but apparently there aren't any that need someone in my age group, so i guess I'll just focus on my other plans.

  • I finally have a passport (for 3 years), and my US visa renewal is pending, so i am very much prepared to leave the country once I finish High school (of course there is the small detail of payment and financing, minor technicalities)

Merry Christmas! Watching NORAD Santa tracker so heck yeah He’s gonna go to my house tomorrow! Right now he’s in Davao City, Philippines. I used to live in the Philippines.

What would the sketches be for, like the cover, a map, illustrations of scenes?
