Bhahah the union organization of the Flemish state broadcaster broadcasted this (https://imgur.com/UnZQukj) message before and after the broadcast of the Eurovision Song Contest. And now news-broadcasters in other countries (mostly in Germany, Spain, and ofcourse Israël) are angry, althewhile stating that it was broadcasted during Israëls performance, which is incorrect.

This is an action by a union

We condemn the violations of human rights by the State of Israel.
Furthermore, the State of Israel is destroying freedom of the press.

That's why we interrupt the image for a moment.

Really? You have to be kidding... At least tell me that organization is not state-owned. Otherwise, you Belgians have a severe case of "politicized public services". And boy, you need a lot of painkillers for that.

The world has done a great job at glorifying terrorists and terrorist states but attacks Israel which is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East that protects the rights of every single one of its citizens. The performer from Israel couldn’t even leave her hotel because of the extremely violent crowds. Absolutely sickening.

It’s the Union of workers for the State Broadcaster. This union is not state owned. Don’t worry.

Well I don’t think it matters if a state protects all rights of its citizens, when it supports segregation by colonization on land once exclaimed to be part of another territory by the UN. All the while building walls so that connections between Palestine villages is less common. But yess it is generally true that the population believed to be Israeli to have a live as free as you say. But the one does not make the other incorrect.

And I am not to say Palestine is the “good one” of the two, this situation is too complicated to make a case for. And to be completely blunt, and probably naive, this is a fight between Bibi and Hamas. Or at least I believe it to be.

The reason that the conflict even exists in the first place is due to the fact that Arabs refused to accept a legal partition plan that was voted on and approved by the United Nations. The reason they immediately went to war was because they didn’t want to live next to Jews. Antisemitism has been an immense problem in the Arab world for well over 1500 years at the very minimum and that is exactly what has generated this conflict. Israel has continuously made strides for peace on their part only for Arab leaders to call for the destruction of a homeland that has been founded on the principle of peace.

You can’t colonize land that you are indigenous to and have always maintained a presence in for the last 3300 years.

you yapped and now you started a whole chat about "Israel vs Palestine". you should have left it at "I don't agree with your first statement", and next yap about the thing you talked about

Can’t I give my opinion? Einsiev and I clearly disagree but nothing more than that. This region is thriving and build on its diversity of opinions and ideas and and will likely continue to do so.

As they stated, the region contains a diverse population with many differing ideals and opinions. Friendly debate/conversation is always welcome and healthy! It’s what we’re founded on anyhow :)

yes but the thing is that you just made a whole new chat about something that doesn't deal with your original reply. that's like me saying "Trump is on trial" and next we have a whole chat about Trump or Biden.

That's how conversations go, I don't see the weirdness of this.
