The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has released a new dispatch on the at-vote for the General Assembly!

Proposal: Police Accountability Act

Official Recommendation: FOR

Official Recommendation of the Ministry of WA Affairs

Vote For Police Accountability Act - Here

Category: Civil RightsStrength: SignificantAuthor: Tinhampton

Rationale & Analysis

Outside of strictly anarchist jurisdictions, wherein this legislation simply does apply; law enforcement of some kind is a simple necessity, even for us here in the Bloc, but certainly not one we should use blindly or uncarefully. When you have people walking around with firearms, or at least carceral authority, leaving them free to simply do as they please is utterly beyond reason. Even in bourgeois states, where we sadly cannot expect them to take a proletarian view on the matter, it is necessary to impose controls and regulations so as to prevent the direst abuses of authority.

These are no strict guarantor of humanity in these systems - particularly in the aforementioned bourgeois states, - but very little that we can both apply internationally, and get through the world assembly is; Simply, the law is no more than paper, but some point we must simply assume that Governments will enforce it, else we're all just wasting time writing things down. The mandates of the proposal include body-cameras, regulations against the use of excessive force, and regular force-use reviews; these are moderate measures, which, while unimpressive, are far and away better than the alternative of 'nothing at all'.

As such, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has directed Kethania to vote FOR Police Accountability Act, and urges the Bloc's World Assembly nations to do the same.

I feel like what I'm doing is useless. Trying to created a regulated enough market economy that ensures huge economic growth while making sure that the workers and peasants benefit from it and rich people do not is a difficult balancing act. If I favour state intervention more, the income of the poor and income equality increases but the economy declines and employment falls; But if I allow more laissez-faire, the economy improves and employment increases but the wealth gap increases and income of the poor declines.

It takes time...

Is it just me or does the Second Sovereignty and Namwenia have an oddly small amount of WA endorsements? Looks like they joined the WA just now. Probably something to do with shifting WA statuses to alts and... uh... idk :p

1: You know you can buy maple syrup from the store. Many stores do have maple syrup. Heck, amazon has maple syrup too!

2: Also, is there a Trader Joe’s near you? (They have maple cookies, [maple cookies taste just like maple syrup—but in a cookie—.])

3: have a great day, and thanks for replying!

I live in the glorious nation of Denmark (no Trader Joe's sadly)

Kittyuwu wrote:I live in the glorious nation of Denmark (no Trader Joe's sadly)

Well, there’s at least one store that should have maple syrup.

(I, sadly, have to live in the USA, which is a leftist nightmare of a country.)
[living in the USA is fine until every damn morning there’s something with “this party did this” or “f**k you leftists” on TV and on FM radio there’s “sh**tiest music that you’ll love” or just some wholesome radio. On AM however “hippie radio” and “watch the poor mess anround like pieces of s**t again” content all over. (I hate the USA honestly, the only US resources I use is WAMU). ]

They do have maple syrup in Denmark (that IS a fact i know).

So, next time you go to a store, look for some maple syrup and try it on some pancakes. (Diners also have maple syrup, especially with pancakes![or waffles])!

Thank you for letting me know, and have an excellent rest of your day. (I wish i could live in Denmark, then i would be truly happy.)

The Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has released a new dispatch on the at-vote for the Security Council!

Proposal: On International Foolish Behavior
Voting Page Link: page=sc
Official Recommendation: NO RECCOMMENDATION

Official Recommendation of the Ministry of WA Affairs

NO RECOMMENDATION on On International Foolish Behavior - Here

Category: DeclarationType: DeclareAuthor: Warzone Spokane

Rationale & Analysis

Seeing On International Foolish Behavior up for a vote over a week past April Fool's Day, I am reminded of an old quote that my mother used to say, "April Fools has come and passed, now you're the April fool, at last." So yea, this is kind of a waste of time, vote how you want.

As such, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs has issued Kethania NO RECOMMENDATION On International Foolish Behavior, and urges the Bloc's World Assembly nations to crush all attempts at comedy mercilessly and swiftly.

We were recently involved in a PRAF operation. My WA moves around quite often, and Namwenia decided to join us this time around.

Yes, my WA was locked and had moved as I participated in this specific PRAF operation...and wrote a detailed summary about what it was / why we did it

The Raid on Trinitarian Defense Union

The Unprovoked Harassment

The raid on Trinitarian Defense Union was an unexpected one, to some. This appeared to be a frontier region that was outside of the realm of gameplay and had remained beyond the radar screen of most people. That was, until their Delegate chose to act in hate.

In an unexpected twist, then Delegate of the region, Eurodonia, sent a telegram to the Minister of Information of The Communist Bloc, one Namwenia. In said message, Eurodonia proceeded to use homophobic slurs while encouraging Namwenia to self harm. The contents were reported to moderators who acted swiftly and Eurodonia received a ban from sending telegrams for their hateful actions. They then proceeded to brag about their actions on the Regional Message Board, an act which was appreciated and liked by the founder of the region:

The hateful actions and bragging led to a deeper dive into the region.

The Hate Within

Looking into the region you discover quickly a history of racism / anti-Semitism from active members and the former World Assembly Delegate, with a regional leadership that basically said, "Keep being racist, just don't talk about it." Further evidence behind the spoiler:

Such a den of scum and villainy, though, needed to be taught to never pal around with homophobes and bigots. The region needed to be crushed.

The Raid and Aftermath

Brave aviators from the People's Revolutionary Air Force arrived to free the region of such evil. Led by Defense Minister Coporiana and Pilot Officer Genderdruid (AWACS), initial troops on the scene included Enlistee Acadiane, Enlistee Archalit, Enlistee Keaben, and Enlistee Second Sovereignty whose quick actions immediately wrested control of the region from the hateful former delegate.

The response was a the former World Assembly Delegate hurling numerous threats and encouragements for self harm.

Note - The original posts have been deleted by moderators at this time

While the founder pleaded to restore their region, it was too late. They have had plenty of time to act on the racism of the former Delegate and, instead, encouraged endorsement of them again and again and again on their RMB even after their use racial slurs and promotion of self-harm. This region deserves to be purged.

In the future, this region shall remain a protectorate of The Communist Bloc and PRAF. We hope racists / homophobes of NationStates will see these actions and change their ways.

I totally get that! Although Denmark is significantly to the left of the US, it ain't exactly a leftist utopia either. But atleast we have leftist parties with relevance i guess..

I'll see if i can find some Maple Syrup when i do go tho!

1: yes i know that Denmark isn’t exactly a leftist utopia, but its closer than most countries.

2: ok! There are multiple types of maple syrup, so just do your research on what you might like in terms of what maple syrup type you might like (there are imitation maple syrups on there, but they usually say that they are imitations, so you might want to see if there’s good reviews for that maple syrup.). With that information, when you go to the store first look at the price, then at the brand’s reviews (that, you have to do online), and finally the amount (if the price is too high and the amount is low, dont buy it. Look for a reasonable price and a reasonable amount, that will get you a good “bang for your buck” if you will).

Another pro tip: the color lets you know the amount of flavor, I prefer amber or medium amber because it’s perfect for casual use. (if you willing to take a risk, dark amber if you want ALL THE FLAVOR.).

Well i hope you enjoy your syrup! (when you get it). And i hope that you have a wonderful rest of your week!
