Im currently submitting a song I hold dear to my heart called “The Milk Carton”, a song which I’ve dedicated my heart and soul to remembering the lyrics about a year ago by a song artist who I view as so underrated, omg! Im gonna go on a tangent about this. The song is so fun and exciting, from all its unique instrumentation, its constant change in tempo, vocals, and especially lyrics, some parts being incredibly different, repeating lyrics, or lyrics that is slightly altered which heavily changed it’s meaning. And the story the lyrics tells as well, it seems innocent enough like some fairytales and how their exterior story seems pretty normal and then it slowly shows how things in the story arent right and the main character, a lost cat who ran away from home encounters some mildly disturbing things. The lyrics also plays a significant role through how it often ties things back to things one would often see at home like cartoons, cereal boxes with depictions of animal mascots, and especially, milk cartons, and the missing people faces that would sometimes be displayed on them, hence the song name and it could also be a deeper allegory or metaphor, which I honestly think is super cool. The song and the way its composition compliments each other to set up a general tone, theme, and story just really eorks to drag me in every time I listen to it lol. This song is definitely a huge favorite of mine, and that’s why I wanted to enter it into this TNPV, not because I would win with it, I feel like it may be a little more subjective, but I really enjoy the song

It's great to see nations entering songs that are meaningful to them. :D

My song too is very personal to me.

As usual, I totally ignore what great songs may have been entered so far.
I will submit what I always do.......A song that I love and is meaningful to me. :D

Picture the scene...........
It's 2006 - I'm on detachment working on helicopters - I manage to fall off one! Lol
My injuries make me unable to fly back for the weekend [unfit for travel] and I have to remain in the hotel alone without my friends.
I was spoilt though, all bills paid for, I managed to get to a restaurant and sat down to a lovely steak dinner and a half carafe of red wine.
A young lady had arrived at the restaurant and sat playing the grand piano.
Then she played this song, no singing, just the instrumental.
I knew this melody..........

Here I was, hundreds of miles away from my family, no friends to pass the time with, I never felt so alone before.
There were tears in my eyes and needless to say my half carafe led to another half. Lol
I needed a few double expresso's to sober up.
The combination of the alcohol and painkillers ensured a good nights rest.
But the music and loneliness from that night left an enduring memory.............

It's always so hard to get everything in your nation perfect, but so easy to screw everything up with one move.
