Freedom of speech does not exist here actually, as NS is not a government institution, specifically an American government institution. It is a private website.

Kurzakstan, after having pledged it's support to build the ONN Lumina Station, obviously knew that the first steps to actually get the Kurzak National Space Exploration Agency up and running, were to gain public support. While being extremely underfunded due to the Civil War in progress, decent progress could actually be made. KNSEA scientists were confident that they wouldn't even need the help of Gojira or other ONN allies to help them. By May 7th, 1971, they had constructed a rocket, the F-1, built to launch the first Kurzak satellite into space. National TV begins rolling, capturing the historic moment, and crowds gather outside the launchsite just a few miles from the ruins of Al-Mikhah. The rocket begins to launch, as crowds cheer. And the rocket lifts into the sky!

...before exploding 10 seconds later.

Apparently using expired fuel and using engines from planes wasn't the best idea. Luckily the spacecraft was unmanned, but this is a serious failure and embarrassment to the KNSEA, which now have to rely on their Gojiran counterpart in order to make it even off the ground for more than a minute.
