What? Why? This doesn’t make sense!

Stratonesia wrote:I heard that "cis" or "cisgender" is a slur on X Twitter, because users who mention either of them on their posts are suspended. Is that true?

I shall initiate the quest to reclaim the slur as a cisgender dude

Blanket suppression… do not interact, etc etc

might have phrased the prior statement poorly

79 percent deadlocked subside this villainy

Basically you were talking to someone who's on blanket suppression, which means your message will also be suppressed.

Blanket Suppression: What it is and what to do when someone is under blanket suppression
Blanket suppression is what happens when someone breaks our RMB Rules repeatedly to the extent that the Regional Officers deem it necessary to prevent them from posting on the RMB further. As The Rejected Realms lacks the ability to eject nations and a mute button is not likely to get implemented, we do this via several measures.

A person under Blanket Suppression will:

  • Have all their posts suppressed

  • Have all posts quoting them suppressed

  • Have all posts replying to them suppressed

  • Have all posts mentioning or discussing them suppressed

What is the goal of Blanket Suppression?
The goal is to discourage rule-breaking behaviour and encourage the rulebreakers to leave for pastures new.

Who decides whether someone is placed under Blanket Suppression?
The Elected Officer responsible for the RMB, along with the Delegate and other Regional Officers, including RMB Watchdogs, all have a say in who gets placed under Blanket Suppression.

What should I do if I see someone under Blanket Suppression posting on the RMB?
Please don't interact with people under Blanket Suppression. You don't have to report them to us, but you should avoid interacting with them. People get placed under Blanket Suppression for good reasons.

Where can I find out who is under Blanket Suppression?
You can find a list of nations under Blanket Suppression on our forums. It is located Linkhere. We considered hosting the list on-site but given that we want to reduce the visibility of nations on the list, we decided that hosting it offsite was better.

Can nations get off of the Blanket Suppression list?
Whilst this is not an option available for all nations, some nations are indeed able to get off the Blanket Suppression list and can do so by showing that they've changed their behaviour, apologising for their past actions and coming to an agreement with the Officer responsible for the RMB about their future conduct. If a nation comes off the list, it should not be considered a clean slate, but an opportunity to show that they've changed as posters and no longer engage in their previously harmful actions.

To be fair this is a concern in many contexts

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with keeping yourself in shape. The bad thing is being obsessed with it to the point of health risks.

The crap I say is usually pretty tame in comparison, except that I do it over the span of ~1 year, so it piles up.

I hope it's not the "every body is beautiful and healthy" kind of body positivity.
