Happy Star Wars Day Everybody! Today is the first day of the 2024 Skipping Cup! 🏆

If you aren’t familiar with this case, You may know the worldwide hobby of skipping. Meaning seeing who can make a rock glide the farthest across a body of water.

[History] In the summer of 1629, hunters usually would sit around for a while by a pond until one hunter got up and started raging so much he threw stones across a thick creek. I was until the fall of 1947, when a few school kids had a lesson on this event, they used a roll of fabric and made a line dividing into 3 teams. They had each player from the teams take turns throwing stones into the local pond. Team 2 won the very first game of Skipping. It was then after the kids ended up in the newspaper, that adults started coming into the trend. Then elders. Then the previous administration in 2007 officially influenced this as a sport in Gujarat. Then the day before India’s collapse, Pre-Garghanian administrators made this a famous sport in the country.
