The Colony of FluxNyte is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its avant-garde cinema, free-roaming dinosaurs, and suspicion of poets. The hard-working, democratic population of 959 million FluxNyteans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Education, Welfare, and Industry. The average income tax rate is 9.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong FluxNytean economy, worth 60.1 trillion dollars a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Uranium Mining, Soda Sales, and Trout Farming. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 62,618 dollars, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.1 times as much as the poorest.

It is cheaper to die in the wilderness than to survive, citizens are arrested for naturally producing proteins, public loudspeakers constantly tell citizens they are "happy people", and spoiler warnings are now given out before political speeches. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. FluxNyte's national animal is the wiggly wormie, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

FluxNyte is ranked 101,459^th in the world and 1,267^th in the South Pacific for Most Developed, scoring 61.45 on the Human Development Index.
