The geography and climate of Liberillia

Liberillia is an island nation, located in the middle of the Atlantic, approximately half-way between the Northwest-African coast-line and the Caribbean. It emerged from the sea following a series of volcanic eruptions and Teutonic shifts along the Atlantic ridge. It has been around for approximately 5,000 years and is approximately the size of Iceland.

Its geography is unusual, primarily tropical, it flora and fauna is a mix of Caribbean and southern-Europe, blown on the winds from these continents. Due to its violent volcanic creation, the northern half is mountainous, with snow at high-altitudes not uncommon, despite Liberillia's pan-equatorial position. Further south, the abundant natural habitats are rainforests. During its early years levels of animal life was low, however many birds used to migrating across the Atlantic took rest on Liberillia and eventually made it their home. As well as abundant bird life, monkeys, dogs, lizards and horses were introduced by early settlers. All four species live both domestically and wildly on the island and the monkey is Liberillia's national animal.

Early settlers were of Iberian origin, but modern day Liberillians come from all creeds and colours of life. The standard ethnic race is mixed-race, combining southern-European, North African and South American genetics.
