Setting the record straight about old Pacifica.

For the record, yes, when I launched Pacifica in 2018 I was less than active. That was known to those veterans who joined the region. I had been inactive for years, and had the occasion to return in a reduced capacity to return a punch that had been lobbed my direction ages ago by Perg. Pacifica was not the focus of what little time I had in the game. I obviously would have loved to be on NS every day. I would still like to have time to be on NS everyday. One day, after you've been on this game as many years as I have (I have puppets dating back to 2006) you to might enjoy coming back to this site irregularly as a break from work/life too.

You joined a region, with a less than active founder, understanding the the founder was handing power over to the executive delegate. That was ALWAYS the deal. I gave you free recruitment, and I'll admit, I wasn't great at keeping it going but I did my best, and certainly more than any other UCR at the time. I didn't leave you 'open' to spam or harassment, that's the lowest attack I've ever heard. Do you think only the extremely active should be allowed to hold positions in regions? And if you only play the game in limited free time you're enabling harassment? Bah! I find it sad we want to use something like that to get a political outcome. The delegate had all the powers I did, plus a personal cell phone number of mine if influence concerns ever limited him from doing something, which it didn't because I gave him mountains of WAs to rule over, thus the phone was never used. There was no limit on the region to combat harassment, and harassment is not something the founder should deal with anyway. If it is occurring somewhere I had in-game power, it should be reported and dealt with through NS moderation.

I don't know what the real story is, other than several people joined the region wanting to ride the coattails of free recruitment. Fine, whatever, that's pretty much what I was going for. But, somewhere along the way for whatever reason they wanted a different deal. I don't know if it got annoying having your WA outside of the GCRs once the drama slowed down, or why the old state of affairs did not suit you any longer. Maybe I hadn't done enough to keep the old recruitment going? The only thing I know, is it for sure had nothing to do with harassment/spam issues - that doesn't begin to make sense. While I do condemn the use of 'harassment' as a political tool, I simply choose to forgive. I wasn't in your shoes, and I while I can't see how to read anything that happened in good faith - maybe I missed something. And I truly mean that, I forgive you all. It is what it is, and it can't be anything else now. I nonetheless felt the need to say something after hearing so many who feel they were the victim of me... not logging in, but still recruiting for them? I don't know, like I said, it's hard for me to follow.

I don't feel I'm a bad person for playing less than I used to, especially when that was always a known a fact. I don't regret all I did to recruit for Pacifica even knowing what I know now about how active I would be, because if I hadn't done that, none of the fun would have happened either. I've done plenty to be disliked in this game, but if it's one of those two things that gets me hated, I can more than live with that. Hate me all you want, I'll keep enjoying NS in my free time. That may not be as consistent as you like - but that's none of your business!
