The King’s Last Address
The longest reign in the history of Kantrias has come to an end! Nine years after first ascending the throne, King Caldemar Leutria Quilor has abdicated in favour of his son; the then-Prince Arran Drake “Skar” Quilor. The King’s last address was written in a style familiar to those who have been part of Kantrias for a while.
For those who may not have had the pleasure of reading the King’s words, we provide a copy;
As many of you may have noticed, I have not been able to be as active as a King should be. I deeply love Kantrias, and have loved working with all of you to make the region a second home, and a fun and caring place to be. As such, I have been keenly aware of the disservice I have done the region by hanging onto power. You all deserve a sovereign who is an active member of the community, and who will work tirelessly to make Kantrias the best place it can be. Therefore, as of today I am abdicating the throne.
After some discussions with my children, I have decided to leave the region in the hands of my capable son, Prince Arran “Skar” Drake Quilor. That said, I do not intend to abandon Kantrias. I have every intention to stick around and continue to contribute where I can.
When I first took the throne, my first act was to tear down the Delphinium Palace, and put a new constitution before the region. Now today I am doing the same thing to prepare the region for my son. Backstage The House Quilor and the Secretary General have been hashing out a new Constitution for a new age. We believe this Constitution sets Kantrias up for greatness in the future, and better molds it for your new Emperor to make the most impact.
I wield my ultimate and sovereign authority to impose the following Constitution upon the region. There will be no constitutional convention, debate, or voting. Let me assure you, this is my will, and my right as King and Governor of Kantrias. As the King who scrapped the constitution, or upended the status quo 6 times over my reign, it is only fitting my last act is to do it once more.
Now invite you to join me in celebrating our new Emperor.

The King’s Last Act
As he abdicated, the King wielded his ultimate and sovereign authority for one last time; he imposed the Imperial Constitution of the Empire of Kantrias onto the Region, turning the Commonwealth into the Empire. He was clear and concise in how it would be; no constitutional convention, no debate and no voting.
This was to be his last act as King; his word and his will executed.
The Emperor’s First Address
As the King’s last address ended, the Emperor’s first began. The contrast between the two could not have been more obvious; whereas the King conveyed a humble and community-centric approach, the Emperor adopted a strong and decisive one, expressing his commitment to Imperialism and safeguarding the history and sovereignty of the Empire.
For those who may not have had the pleasure of reading the Emperor’s words, we provide a copy;
I am most grateful for the kind words uttered by my dear Father, who has reigned as Kantrias’ monarch for over nine years. While he speaks of the ‘disservice’ he has done to the region, I speak of a service worthy of our respect.
On this day, we mark a transition of power so momentous that it shakes the very foundation of our Kantrian society. For almost twelve years, Kantrias has stood as one of the oldest still remaining societies of our world, and for even longer my family has been making a name for itself on the broader global stage, the majority of which under his leadership.
While we transition to this new age put in motion by my dear Father, my Imperial family, and the last Secretary-General of a past age, we must remain steadfast in our defiance of those who would set us against one another.
I make a promise to all of you;
I will lead the Empire of Kantrias with unwavering resolve and a decisive hand, our Imperialist ideology at the very core of our motivation, as we march forward with hearts aflame and unwavering purpose to enhance our greatness, security, and to safeguard our history. With unyielding dedication, I shall ensure that the legacy of Kantrias endures as a beacon of strength, unity, and unassailable sovereignty for generations to come.

A Royal Transition: Emperor Arran's Ascension in Kantrias
As the Empire of Kantrias ushers in a new era, its focal point is our newly crowned Emperor. But who exactly is he, and what transformative contributions does he bring to Kantrias?
Emperor Arran has a long history in Kantrias, first having joined the region five years ago at the start of our 3rd era. He quickly got involved, integrating himself into the community and being an active member of the political scene. As Kantrias moved into its 4th era, he was a central figure in the shaping of the region, with his energy and strong opinions proving essential to building the Kantrias up and creating an active and welcoming community.
In recognition of his active role in the region and of their close friendship, King Caldemar Leutria Quilor adopted Arran a mere two years after he became a Kantrian, warmly welcoming him to the royal family.
So, who is Arran? He is a singularly determined individual who will see his will be done, while still taking the time to debate with others to reach a truly Kantrian compromise. He is a pillar of the community, always willing to join an existing conversation or start one up if things are quiet. He is a loyal friend who you know has your back and will see you right. He is a singularly honest person, unafraid to say it like it is and take a stand where he sees things wrong.
What does the reign of Emperor Arran mean for Kantrias? It means Kantrias has an active hand at the reins, one who will drive the region forward instead of quietly encouraging others to do the work. It means the Empire of Kantrias will be a region that stands for something and will not simply bow to popular trends. It means Kantrias will have a distinct identity on the world stage, and will see many more bright and active years to come.
