The current version of the regional flag of Kommuland was made official in 1978.

The white ⬜️ stripe express the unstable peace along history.

The black ⬛️ line mean the hand of tyranny.

The red 🟥 stripe memories of spilled blood on the battlefield.

The double-headed eagle surrounded by laurels on an ax and reeds symbolizes the autonomy of unilateral authority.
