Music March Madness
|
Attention Islanders, for the month of March, the Ministry of Culture will be hosting a month long music contest! Each weekend we will be judging songs and picking a winner!
Here is the date list of our Music March Madness activities!
3/9/24: This will be the first judging of music, with entries focused on POP and EDM (Electronic Dance Music). We will also host a gaming night for the community!
3/16/24: This will be the second judging of music, with entries focusing on CLASSICAL and HIP-HOP/RAP/R&B. We will also host a photo contest this week!
3/23/24: This will be the third judging of music, with entries focusing on COUNTRY and ROCK. We will be watching Almost Famous for our movie night!
3/30/24: On this night we will announce the overall winner, with entries being the winners of all previous categories. The event held will be a movie night, and we'll be watching School of Rock!
(You are able to submit one song for each genre!)
[Judging will be done by a live vote, done by everyone, excluding song submitters!]
HOUSE INVOLVEMENT:
Unlike our flag event, in MMM, you will be able to submit a song on behalf of the XKI house you belong to.
If you are not a part of a house you are still able to submit a song.
REWARDS:
IF your song wins an individual GENRE, you the individual, will win a prize of [20,000 Tacos]
IF you submit a song on behalf of your house, and you win a GENRE, you will win your house members [50,000 Tacos], to be distributed equally among all members.

IF your song wins the OVERALL contest on the 30th, you the individual, will win a prize of [100,000 Tacos]
IF you submit a song on behalf of your house, and you win the OVERALL contest on the 30th, you will win your house members [200,000 Tacos], to be distributed equally among all members.
