Flomonga joins the Parliamentarian Party

Right before the break I accepted an invitation from Western Arba Fir
to join the Parliamentarian party ending over a year of political independence that Flomonga has previously held. The reason I accepted the invitation to join the Parliamentarian party is because I share many of the same values that the party represents. I believe that the government should be a reflection of the values held by the citizens and the government is elected to work for the people and has the responsibility to work simultaneously for the good of the region and the nations within.

I believe that our Region runs through Parliament and the legislation that comes out of Parliament should be relied upon heavily throughout the Region. I also stand for expanded power for Parliament and I say that not as a MP but as someone who genuinely believes that the prime minister and cabinet must be willing to share a great deal of power with Parliament and work relentlessly with parliament to aggressively attack issues and situations that are holding our Region back and issues that the individual nations of the Region view as important and demand that the government bring immediate attention to and swift action to the problem rather than just kick it down the road.

The Parliamentarian party stands for less regulations for a nation to join Parliament. I used to be a staunch believer in elections to Parliament however after realizing that one major way to ensure that the demands of the nations are being met is ensuring that we have a swift and easy way for anyone to join Parliament so they can directly bring issues they and their companions believe are plaguing our Region to the voting floor is crucial for the development of our Region and further ending the divide between government and nation. While I do respect everyone's opinions on Parliament, I simply cannot believe someone who says they believe in more power to the nations of the region but reject the idea of loosening obstacles to joining parliament and being given the authority to help shape the Region.

I look forward to continuing to stand up for parliamentary rights in the future and working with those in the Parliamentarian Party continue to advocate for expanded Parliamentary power.
