The 8-wonders of Equestria

The 8-Wonders of Equestria are 8 buildings or monuments which hold either significant historical or cultural value as determined by the National Commission for Historical Preservation. While there are far more than 8 grand structures across the Equestrian state, which spans 5,680 planetary systems (There are approximately 1.2 million structures with recognised cultural value of Grade I status), these 8 are the most striking and have been picked for the purpose of providing a snapshot of Equestrian diversity.
Grand Royal Library of Canterlot
Initially founded in 150 BC, the library was carved out of a mountain valley sometime from 10 AD to 230 AD. It would fall into disuse after Canterlot was abandoned in 1411 and would fall into ruin until its rediscovery in 1934 when the ruins would be rediscovered and excavated, uncovering over 780,000 lost books and scrolls with over 3.4 million scroll fragments. It would be declared a National Monument in 2004 and would become a highly visited site. In 2620 Selano LaFleur would order the reconstruction of the Library in the Neo-Equestrian National style. The new library pictured here would be opened in 2645 with over 7 million books.

Cloudsdale
Founded formally in 800 BC by King Zephyr I, the city of Cloudsdale has been home to Pegasi since the earliest days of Equestria. The City was originally the capital of Equestria prior to Canterlot's founding. The City has undergone numerous restorations to restore it to its early glory. As of now the city is a living museum on early Equestrian culture, and one of the largest museums in Equestria.

The Statue of Strength
Sculpted in 1892 and built from 1893-1894 the statue of Strength in Greenbay albeit smaller than its other counterparts on the list was seen as a striking monument due to the lifelike nature of the statue. The statue pictured here is not the original as the original was destroyed in the anti-Imperialist riots of 2110, but a replacement built in 2203.
