The Southern Cross

As our leader Peter Lalor selected capital as Eureka, in 1854 our moment of creation. How were we able to gain independence? Well, a rebel from the miners started. A tax needed to be paid more than they earn. They took ub the Southern Cross, as Lalor said, "We swear by the Southern Cross to protect our liberty and rights!
He walked away to build the stockade. Sadly we lost the battle, but 3 days later on the 31st of December, 1854 we struck with silent power and won. "THE SOUTHERN CROSS!!!
