RMB Etiquette

In engaging in conversation on the very public Regional Message Board(rmb), several things should be kept in mind:

1. Not everyone has English as their primary language.

2. Not everyone is in the same time zone as you.

3. Always be courteous and respectful of other players, especially older players

4. Be patient, not everyone is online the same time, do not post multiple times in succession(This is considered spam and will be dealt with accordingly).

5. The rmb is not a personal chat-room/rp forum.

6. If things get heated, step away from the keyboard(This is a game after all).

7. The more we can direct a new player towards info they seek, the better for the whole of the region.

8. New nations should have their greetings answered in a 'timely' fashion and/or at least acknowledge them.

9. Any topic or subject(within game rules) is okay.

10. Trolls/Griefers & Flamers will be dealt with by the delegate/guardians(anyone is capable of reporting infractions to game admin, not just delegates/guardians) or in severe cases, by game admin(Mods). This may include things like 'rewriting' quotes(nobody likes words put in their mouths).

11. Treat others like you would like to be treated.

12. Staying on subject is not necessary, but helps the flow of conversation(It does not have to be related to NS although game rules say it should be at least remotely related to the game).

13. Posting ASCII art(or symbols/emoji/emoticons) for the sake of posting is considered a form of spam. It is acceptable in replies to posts(not excessively) or as part of an advert(as allowed).

14. Posting in all caps is the equivalent of 'shouting' on the rmb and is considered very rude. Use the [ i ],[ b ],[ u ] or [ pre ] formatting to express your point if necessary.
