So we effectively have no appeal system—since that’s basically an organization investigating itself to see if there was an incorrect action taken, which always goes well. If someone were to appeal though, is there documentation dictating the standards and procedures in place to determine when bans are necessary? And is it easily accessible to those who might be banned?

We have a whole rules section and a mod procedure that we've been trying to make as concrete as possible. Appeals would take into account even more voices, from cabinet to other regions to even people who have left the region, to review the decision. We have been working to expand official moderation processes and a better appeals system is very high up on our list of priorities.
