Is your internet good? Is it slow, or is it fast?

Alinek wrote:I almost forgot about today’s Question of the Day, but here it is nonetheless!

Well, I have had zero problems with it.

Well when I went to the studio in the backyard I'd have to turn my Ipad off and on again for the internet to work (like power it off and then restart it) but the 5G upgrade has fixed that.

And sextupled the download speed but y'know it's aight.

What is your experience with natural disasters? Have you ever been in one?

Alinek wrote:I kinda wish more people responded to the last one, but here's today Question of the Day!

I remember an earthquake from Gippsland some 40-ish kilometres away shaking the house for like 15 seconds as I was having breakfast last year or so, and I remember when I was like 6-10 going to a nearby river during a flood and the small pedestrian bridge spanning it just... wasn't there. It was under the water. When the river came down again the bridge was gone and they had to build a new one lol.

Wouldn't call them "disasters" but I'd say they were certainly natural events

why do ppl who live in an area that consistently receives highly destructive tornadoes continue to build houses and towns there only to complain that their house keeps getting destroyed

They had to build the new bridge like 8 metres above where the old one was btw, and its made out of metal instead of concrete
