G'day, mate.
I am sorry, fellow DSA members, but I can't post a Daily Geography Fact due to my mother's pain after having surgery.
She's the only parent of mine that lives nearby, so I must keep her safe and care for her.
On monday I will post two in order to make up for it, now, I must finish my studies and keep an eye on my mother.
Have a good day, legends.

Yuppp I had an issue they by so means should have raised my average income but instead it tanked it from ~$65k to line $11k
Hey so can someone explain what the n-day is? Is my nation going to be reset or sth??
After 14 years (on and off) of maintaining the atheist view and ignoring religion in any issues that arise, i have now unlocked the ability to edit the national religion. I won't add one but i just thought it was interesting how we change over time, for the most part.
N-Day doesn’t have any lasting consequences. If your nation gets nuked into oblivion, that just means you’re out of that N-Day. Don’t worry.
I didn’t realize most of y’all were in your 20s, wow
Nationstates is probably majority college-aged and late 20s

I think Student loan debt is right, a lot of people seem to start as teenagers and for some they continue. I had a nation even before this one and also played Nation states 2 when that existed. I founded quite a successful region in it. Halcyon days...

I would recommend checking out Humanism though.
Thanks :)
I'm still quite atheist myself but becoming more open and more agnostic as i age. I did think of myself as a humanist a while ago. Hard to be one in this day an age though...
It it has been religious -> atheist -> agnostic for me so far
I skipped atheism and went straight to "I don't know and I never will know as long as I'm alive, so why worry".
I went from agnostic, to Catholic, to Evangelical Christian, to Jehovah Witness, to a Gnostic Christian (thanks to my aunt and uncle), to practicing Muslim (for 1 year!, praying 5 times a day was intense), to a laissez-faire pan-Abrahamist (I organized morning prayers for Jews, Christians, and Muslims when I was 16), to Baha'í (converted at the temple in Panama), to being married to a Reconstructionist Jew while being deeply interested in various extinct Zoroastrianisms (though I could not find a community in person to join), to a practicing Humanist Jew that maintains a connection with Baha'í while also secretly hoping for a Mazdakite resurrection.
To sum up: I just finished reading a Hindu scripture verse to my daughter who just came back from Hebrew school at the local Chabad.
I believe that all religions can offer a beautiful narrative into humanity. I am very much an igtheistic humanist but with a deep appreciation for tradition, history, cultures, and mythology. Though not officially seen as a religion, being vegan and a parent probably influences my worldview and love for life more than any religion that I have ever experienced.

I used to be a Christian in name only. Sure we would go to church for Easter and Christmas, but that was it. But then my family even stopped doing that. Until one day, I decided I wanted to start going to church. Now I go almost every week and I’m pretty darn religious.
I find it interesting how a lot of people become atheist when they get older, but I’m becoming even more religious.

Wait. You’re a parent?! I never would have guessed that wow
I've been inquisitive about religion and spirituality throughout the years. I'd say that I believe that the universe is viewed and perceived through a myriad of beliefs all saying a variation of the same story. I think it is at it's purest form when you sit and watch life go about itself. But, what do I know? Life gets hard. We all gravitate to something that might have answers for those tough moments.
Not sure how I am supposed to absorb that statement. :( I'm stay-at-home dad of two.
