Thaecia is dying. Our social scene as of late has been carried by overflow from TRR, or Altys poking people about Paradox Games, which isn't that common. Our recruitment efforts have failed, instead being carried by the generous donations of people like Alto, Andy and myself. We have returned to an era of politicians who refuse to lift a finger trying to dictate what the Executive can do, while fighting tooth and nail change put before them.

Thaecia needs radical reform, it needs to overhaul what it is, and in the words of a good friend of mine, it needs to be rebuilt nearly from scratch. A Frontier transition was going to be the start of that change, in my eyes, but even the concept was met with violently negative reactions from members of this community. All attempts to structurely defocus politics are fought by people with just enough interest in Thaecia to fight change, but not enough interest to lift a finger to help it.

Let me make it clear: Politics is dead, and it will not return. What Thaecia once excelled at has run its course, and no amount of nostalgia or wish otherwise will change that. Old regional juggernauts like Marv and Marco are CTEing, others have completely ignored the Thaecia for a while now. Participation in elections is at an all time low, and our resident count has spent time below 200 for the first time since before i even joined Thaecia. Anyone who looks at these facts and decides to fight change baffles me, but yet it happens, and I'm too tired for it.

I've served in Executive Office for nearly 2 years at this point, as a Minister and now as Prime Minister, and I have promoted a transition to a more social society constantly, and I have been fighting for it this entire time. Truthfully, when I became Prime Minister, I thought the region was finally dead enough that people would realise we needed serious change, and would at least get out of the way, but nope, there is enough life in this corpse to fight whatever bit structural change we need, and I'm tired. Too much of my time over the past 3+ years in Thaecia has been spent engaging in nasty fights that did nothing but harm the region, and I can't do that anymore, I don't have the willpower to try and overcome the nostalgia and hatred for change too many members of this region hold so deeply.

As such, with immediate effect, I am resigning as Prime Minister of Thaecia, making Snalland Thaecia's new Prime Minister.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the vast majority of my time in executive office, and it has been an honour to serve this region for as long as I have, but I will be spending time outside of appointed office, and will be refocusing my effort on different regions.

I thank you all for your time,

BowShot118 / Toerana V
Former Prime Minister of Thaecia

I'm surprised... I've been reflecting for a while on this little text, and, unfortunately, i have to agree. I'm relatively new to Thaecia, but all i saw about thaecian politics was: "We need to bring regional activity back!"; several good opinions, several divergent ideas, but nothing practical, because an ideal is engrained that goes against innovation and reform in the Thaecian regime. I understand why the resignation, it must be tiring to want to do what seems to make no sense. For now, the only thing we can do is agree.

I also have to agree. Does anybody propose injuncting Thaecia, as Bow seemed to suggest? That may be useful.

thaecia needs a potato farm now

You know, I knew this was coming. Bow warned the cabinet about a week ago. It doesn't hurt any less though.

I'm sorry. I feel as though I've failed as a minister, again. It was my job to keep the culture scene alive. But I've failed. But I want to fix that.

Questions of the day, weekly polls, games over on discord. These are my promises. Keep me to them. Don't let me fail.

Brototh ‘24 is inevitable.

What is up sigma nation?

You never failed us. We still respect as our Minister of Culture, no matter how many times you say it to yourself, always remember, we don't see you as a failure. I mean, sure, you messed up a bit, but we all do, so don't see it as the end. Just know that from our mistakes, we become smarter and better than last time.

This is a list of presidents/delegates and prime ministers of Thaecia by time in office. A Delegate and Prime Ministerial term is around four months, as per the Constitution and Legislative Resolution 049 The Electoral Commission Act (2021).

Xernon was the only President of Thaecia to leave office and return for another term four months later; Andusre was the only to return to the Premiership for a non-consecutive additional term. Xernon, the Marconian State, and Brototh sought and won a re-election, whereas Titanne did not run again. Xernon is the only President to have left the office during his term- a few days after inauguration- where The Marconian State won the by-election for the Presidency serving the remainder of this term.

Andusre, Korsinia, Xernon, and Brototh won re-election as Prime Minister, where Rayekka, The Bigtopia, and the Islamic Country of Honour did not seek second terms. All Prime Ministers served their full length in office except Toerana V, who resigned on the 31st January 2024.

Xernon spent the shortest singular term in office, while also having spent the longest continuous term in office at 361 days. Rayekka spent the shortest full term in an Executive office. Andusre was the first Prime Minister to serve more than 2 terms and has held a single chief executive office for longer than any other nation, at a total of 371 days as Prime Minister. Xernon spent 605 days between Delegate and Prime Minister, becoming the nation to hold chief executive office for longer than anyone else.

Xernon, Andusre, Brototh, and Rayekka have served as both President/Delegate and Prime Minister. Brototh was the first individual to have served as President, Prime Minister, Speaker, and Chairperson; this feat was replicated by Rayekka in 2023.

Until July 2021, there was no law in Thaecia- excluding LR 007, which was not long after repealed- that specifically defined when an election must be held. As such, terms varied wildly depending on scheduling by the Electoral Commission. In current law, inaugurations for positions take place on the 10th day of the month of which they are scheduled for. Terms now have a structure of around 122d: the November-March term lasts 120d, the March-July term lasts 122d, and the July-November term lasts 123d. In 2022 during President Sunipi's term, the position of President was replaced by that of Delegate and the elections for the position were moved to the midterms. Sunipi's term was extended by two months to account for this.

Dates are presented in the DD/MM/YYYY format.

This is tough because I think I joined like right when Brototh assumed office and I legit don't know if it was Xernon or Brototh I joined under.
