SC will certainly rile up a protest there, though she will ask Ceta for the ISS to be there on high alert just in case things go haywire. Remember we want to make this governor look like the racist power-hungry lunatic that he is. Expose him. Then if he attacks with force, he is definitely in the wrong and the ISS can arrest him.

(He's going to jail either way though.)

Heavy snow blanketted the roads and trees leading up into the mountains, gazing out to the large city walls at the apex ahead. The city of Torhed Pass was a fortress - purposefully designed with high walls and tall spires, terracing up the side of the mountain on the western side of the pass, while the multiple lanes and railways of traffic travelled under their sights on the eastern side.

Saera Araenor bundled herself as best she could against the howling blasts of cold wind and snow buffetting her small group as they trudged through the snow in no-man's land, all dressed in heavy white coats with red bright blue markings on the sleeves and backs identifying them as medical staff. This was her third foray into the valley today, each one exhausting her and her compatriots, and each one in a landscape changed more than the last.

She swore she had come by this path already, but no footprints existed of their past visit. Already inches of snow had fallen, and as darkness was coming it became harder to see into the distance where she was, dragging herself through the thicker snow and fighting the cold.

A low gasp and thump was heard behind her, as she turned to see one of her fellow medics fallen face-first into the snow. "Vaegor?" she called out to him.

"I'm fine, Saera!" he said as he rolled over and pushed to get back upright. "Just tripped over a rock!"

"That's not a rock," said one of their fellows that had come over to help him.

The remaining medics converged on the spot, looking into the area of snow cleared by Vaegor's strumble. Staring up to them was a young face, maybe only twenty years of age or so, eyes locked open and gazing into the sky, their skin a pale shade of blue. The medics all frowned at the site before they regathered their equipment and continued their trek through the snow, leaving behind their lost comrade.

The Siege of Torhed Pass, it was being called. The Republican forces had attempted three assaults on the fortified city of House Torhed before it would be too late, and all three had been repulsed. The Stralan and Klementonian forces were mobilized to bypass the city and cut off its supplies, but by the time they had entrenched themselves the snows were already coming, and the assaults intended to weaken the Torhedists grasp on the city had been repulsed at great cost.

Saera's group had gone out today to collect the wounded as the snows were starting to settle in. Three of her fellows had been killed by sniper fire or unexploded ordinance or boobytraps earlier in the morning, including their commanding officer, Doctor Qohereon. She still remembered the look on his face as he had turned to wave off the rest of his team before the grenade exploded, killing him instantly. She wasn't sure she'd ever forget that face.

"Saera!" one of her comrades shouted out, and she turned. "Orders from command!" he held up his radio, pointing at it. "We're being recalled to the first aid station!"

"What about the other wounded?" she shouted back. "In this cold they won't last long!"

"In this cold they won't make it back anyways!" shouted one of the corpsman accompanying them.

She scowled and looked back across the growing dunes of snow before her. After a minute she turned and started the return trip through their own quickly-diminishing footprints in the snow.

Excellent.

I don't think declaring war on a single individual is needed. That's for nations and city-states. But he is an enemy of Pathonia for sure.

To the established House of Niralyon,

We are happy with the news of the successes at Nordgard and wish for further developments in the favour of Niralyon. Thus we are inclined to give the House of Niralyon the option of increasing the stationed troops by double, giving more Air support or sending some CPU [Cultural Protection Units] to support the protection, relocation and retrieval of culturally valuable objects in Niralyon or captured Torhed Lands.
These are proposals, however, and only to be seen as possible outcomes depending on the needs and wants of the House of Niralyon, if even those are wanted.

Kind Regards sends,
Doctor Walter Brihn
Overseer of the Nation of Stollberg-Stolberg

P.S.: Vera Niralyon seems to be adjusting quite well, at least as much as would be possible in such a predicament, to the current situation and seems to be enjoying the Landscape and culture of Stollberg-Stolberg.

Stollberger Officers and Whistles, something that could not be removed from one another. Thus it was, after pushing and collapsing the Torhedist Gendarmes on the right flank to the centre or capture, that a mass of whistle calls was made again to coordinate a push to what was presumed to be a postal Office by the Stollbergers. Even though Korporal Knödel had a broken arm he still wanted to assist in the assault, so after making the whistle call with his left hand, his right being in a cast from a minor injury, he gripped the Officer Staff and began to move his section further down the street. For that move a normal tactic was used, the targets far away were pinned down by rifleman fire or just supportive ones, while his section made "mouse holes" when the enemy did try to shoot back at them.

Slowly but surely ground was gained, as a new "corridor" was blown through the debris of central Nordgard and a battle ensued for the first barricade that the Torhedists had quickly set up. It was a longer Battle which took some considerable effort at first, with the help of cover, riflemen on the roofs and pouring in reinforcements the makeshift barricade could be taken. Now the biggest problem was still imminent, capturing the presumed Postal Office. A building with thick walls and probably hiding Torhedists that would defend themselves tooth and nail along the Flag that waved on the roof being a symbol of the attacker.

An explosion was heard and felt by some of the nearer soldiers, as a ball of light shattered a door and its surrounding area making splinters and dust fly everywhere. Then a cloud was lingering around the door, making visibility a scarce good for the soldiers that wanted to charge, due to that fact Korporal Knödel elected to throw Grenades into the now broken door to cause more chaos among possible Torhedists. Multiple explosions rocked the inside, made by the affectionately named "Egg" Grenades. Although their fragmentation power was subpar compared to other grenades of foreign models [perhaps reminding soldiers of eggshells], they did have quite an explosive punch which started to border on excessive.

Thus after the presumably last explosives went off, a couple of troop sections moved into the premises. At first, it looked like carnage, but the foreboding sense of doom came across the entering parties. The Lobby of the building was wide and gave way to the stairs that led into the cellars and to the second floor. The destroyed first-floor barricades were visible, but the architecture and debris obstructed the second story. A quick sweep of the main lobby supported that theory, but after blocking off the stairways to the cellar and starting to move onto the second the first resistance was encountered up on the stairs. So a second battle began.

It took probably an hour with casualties on both sides until the damage was so great that an agreement of capture could be made as some of the Torhedist Leviees surrendered. This gave way to Korporal Knödel, who now had a couple more abrasions, to move to the roof entrance. There he and his troop section found more resistance which did not surrender. Another battle ensued and the now-frustrated Stollbergers just decided to blow that entrance and the barricades up with the aforementioned Egg Grenades. When the smoke cleared the way was mostly cleared, but due to the surrounding area, some injuries and damage could be noticed on the Troop Section of Knödel. Knödel himself was knocked out by a metal plate flying at him and needed to be evacuated. The last half dozen Soldiers, however, could move on to the roof where a single Torhedist Gendarme gave up protecting the flowing flag.

The Torhedist Flag was lowered and folded away, but then it was noticed that the supposed flag that should have been raised was with Knödel. So they had to improvise; by taking two of their scarfs, one in black and one in a slightly darker blue and putting holes in them to make way for connections between both scarfs and the flagpole it was somewhat flag-shaped and could fly in the breeze. Even if it was not the highest still standing building around.

Hello there, Unified State of Palestine, Norin Fist, Panaini, Soviet Socialist Nippon, United Whites!

Welcome to the Pacific! There are a lot of ways to enjoy NationStates, and the Pacific caters to all of them. To get started in the Pacific, it's important that you complete the below steps to fully enjoy your experience here in the Pacific and the New Pacific Order as either a new NationStates player, newcomer to the Pacific, or as a returning NationStates player.

  • First things first, join the World Assembly! It's like the United Nations but in NationStates. If you're confused on how to join the World Assembly, this guide should be able to help you out.

    -
    New Pacific Order
    -

What is the World Assembly and why should I join it?

The World Assembly, often abbreviated as "WA", is the NationStates equivalent of the real-world United Nations.

    • Vote on game-wide legislation: World Assembly member nations are able to vote on resolutions that reach the floor of the General Assembly and Security Council, thus allowing you to participate in determining game-wide legislation.

    • Endorse other nations: WA nations may endorse (similar to social media "likes") other nations in the same region as them.

    • Write WA resolutions: WA nations with 2 (two) or more endorsements may submit WA resolutions of their own for the entire game to vote on.

    • Bolster the strength of your region: The more endorsements our delegate, East Durthang, has, the larger the weighted delegate vote in the World Assembly is, granting us more influence over international WA affairs. Furthermore, the more endorsements our leadership holds, the more difficult it is for hostile forces to seek to invade or disrupt the stability of our home.

    • Become a Pacifican Vanguard: Nations who endorse our delegate receive the title Pacifican Vanguard, are featured on this list, and are eligible for exclusive rewards, such as custom nation banners.

Joining the World Assembly is the easiest step you can take in order to participate more in NationStates!

How do I join the World Assembly?

    What is Discord?

Having probably heard about New Pacific Order's Discord server, either from your fellow Pacificans or from simply reading the regional page or dispatches, you might be wondering how to join it. Or not, if you are already a proficient Discord user, simply skip every step until the one where the server link is posted.

Now, for those unaware, LinkDiscord is a communication app available in browser, PC app or mobile format that allows its users to form large organized communities. These communities are called servers, in most cases, and each one has its own specific organization and set of rules and moderators. The intent of this dispatch is to provide an initial introduction to how to function with Discord and, more particularly, the NPO's server.

    Benefits of Joining Discord

    • The ability to become fully integrated with all opportunities available in The Pacific and make the most out of your citizenship is attained through joining the most active aspect of the region.

    • A chance to help determine the regional direction for the World Assembly votes is also available if you so wish to help dictate our decision for specific proposals, including your own.

    • Discord gives you an easier route to meeting the extant regional leadership, discussing regional affairs, and is necessary for people who aspire to become involved in our government.

    • Inclusion in the full regional experience and introduction to the wider community of the New Pacific Order is available through Discord membership.

    Getting Started with Discord

The first step would be to make an account in Discord itself. While not necessary to utilize server it is usually recommended due to ease of reusability and practicality. An account is absolutely free and simply unlocks a lot of features that a guest user might not have. Simply go to Linkhttps://discord.com and register an account, preferably with a username that won't breach any NPO rules, and this step should be done. You'll inevitably be prompted to confirm your email, so simply check your inbox.

With your account registered you now have a few options. You can choose to do one of them, or even all of them. You can open Discord on your browser, download and install the application or download the mobile app. Any of them will work for the purposes of this tutorial, though the PC app is more flexible in terms of functionality (use of one platform does not exclude the use of others).

LinkClick here to join the NPO Discord server. It is as simple as that after every previous step has been accomplished. Click it and after a prompt to join the server you will be in. Now comes the more specific part.

Upon joining the server, if you have already applied for citizenship and been accepted (if not, check this dispatch for a guide on how to do it) Linkpost here to request that your account be added to private channels.

If you have any more questions pertaining to the use of Discord itself, feel free to ask the people within the server for help. We hope your experience within the community is fun and fruitful.

Otherwise, we'll have no choice but to carry out the arrest order by force. It would be best for all of us to avoid violence. You have two hours to exit the building and surrender yourselves to the authority. We can guarantee that if it is peaceful, no harm will come to you."

"This is President Emilia Rainford of emergency government speaking. We call upon our international allies to immediately intervene mikitarily in Novoblupolia.
