Maneiras wrote:As Sasha sat upright and heard Gentile's scream she nearly fell down again, barely holding her laughter while giggling under her breath. Yet, Fadhillah doesn't seem to notice and instead diverted her attention to the book collections of the office, dragging her claw on a section of books before pulling one out at haste and swinging to her beanbag. The book itself is ordinary besides its dilapidated leather green cover and an illegible script embossed in gold. Fadhillah sunked into her beanbag and puts the book down on the coffee table, purring.

She smiled at Gentile, pushing the book towards her gently. “A copy of the Epic of Eletiur translated into ancient Surantanese and written in the Surantanese script,” she divulge as she pulled the cover. The first page revealed the emblem of the Illrician state embroidered with gold strands, surrounding it is Alban symbolisms inked deeply in jet black with symbols from the tricolor, the senate, the Illrician nature, and most imposingly is the threatening gaze of Nemesis Chapdeleina herself, her form beaming with rays of light. Further opening the book would reveal a scriptua continuum of this exotic script, its form elegant and wavy with punctuations appearing floral, seeming more decorative than practical. “I and her highness took great care in researching, translating, and writing this book, and we hope this in return be cared for, perhaps displayed even.” she winks. Both of these cats can't help to let a wide grin, wagging their tails for Gentile's approval.

“Also, how's Illiricium doing, Gentile? I've been curious on how our project's been doing, and of course for the wellness of our fellow non-humans in Illiricium.” Sasha asked, pulling another cold brew from under the table, a wooden cooler now noticeable.

The Surantanese script is based on the Javanese script, with ancient Surantanese being similar to Javanese used in palaces or by nobles.

Gentile's embarrassment would die down, making herself comfortable the best she could in the alien furnature she was sitting in, or rather sunk in if you asked her opinion. As Fadhillah made her way, hending Gentile the unique book. She intently listened to what her feline firend was saying, flipping trough the pages with awe in her eyes. She had read the Epic who knows how much, both in middle shcool, high school and college. But the one she was handed, written in anxient Surantanese, how the scrip's writting stile fluttered trough the white pages. Not to mention the fine details that maintained the origin of the Epic itself, Alban symbolism present, mixing well with Maneirasian additions. Even the addition of the founder Nemesis Chapdeleina herself was surprising, seeing that Nemesis isn't someone who is fondly looked outside of the Republic. Letting out a soft smile, she would close the book, holding it dearly in her hands, very much pleased with the fine work they went trough to create such a magnificent and bound to be historic item.

"Wow... simply wow... i do not know what else to say except thank you, im sure Il Duce and the Republic will be pleased to see that our friends in the East have prepeared such a wonderful gift."

She would say in her usual friendly tone, turning to look at Sasha as she accepted another cup of Maneiras's fine brew she grew found of. Taking a small sip, she would place the cup down on the coffee table, putting the Epic inside her briefcase and pulling out a small pile of documents, leaving them on the table.

"The intempletation of Maneiran security technology is working quite successfuly, our security aparatus has addapted to the new systems... which is no surprise, modern technolgy is much simpler than what we used to operate before. The addition of new computers and servers is proving costly, but it is nothing our treasury cannot afford. Even the people are growing used to seeing street cameras becoming a much more common sight than they where before... As for the wellbeing of your fellow non-humans and humans of Maneiran origin in the Republic, well that's what we came to discuss didn't we?"

Gets latest issue

A man just posted nude videos of his ex-partner engaging in various compromising activities on an online message board. This is just the latest example in a long string of similar online harassment cases that have been dubbed ‘revenge porn’. Your team of advisors has spent days looking at it, from every angle, but it seems there is currently no reference to this phenomenon in any Humanist legislation.

Holy sh1t lol

“First off,” shouts one of your legal advisors, “can we stop calling it ‘revenge porn’? That clearly implies the victim has done something to deserve that kind of disgraceful mistreatment. Digitally Inflicted Criminal Castigation, please, and this is a particularly lowly form of harassment and sexual abuse. We need explicit and stringent legislation outlawing distributing, or threatening to distribute, a sexual image or video without consent. Only then will these poor victims get justice. We should also start some public information campaigns to teach people about the horrors of DICC.”

There's a ringing silence for a few moments, as all four Furies visibly search for a less awful way of saying "it means we need to destroy your dead friend's ring."

It . . . means, Snow says at last, it might be worthwhile to . . . put the ring near our existing Shard collection. They are drawn to one another, at close range. If it reacts that way, we will . . . have an idea of . . . how to um, proceed. She closes her eyes for a moment and breathes through a prayer that they can, somehow, end up just giving it back.

It's pretty common for small Shards to be encased in pearls. Dagsett offers. Wouldn't be the first time.

Ice Bowl II: Gone With The Wind

SS Areshi was attacked near the Sea of Arkis by unknown pirates. Actual details about the attackers are hazy but they were spotted heading for the Sea of Arkis.

The Areshi had large sections of its hull breached and was boarded by several groups of attackers.

The Sea of Arkis has several channels of calmer waters but can be difficult to navigate. Your goal is to get through the Sea of Arkis alive, and investigate the pirates inside.

Once you come close to land, the conditions will ease up. If you try to brute force it you will absolutely lose ships.

Generally in the first post you enter the Sea of Arkis, I give you an encounter, you make more progress in the next post, I give second encounter. Then you reach the coast.

We could do one or two encounters depending on if you take the channels. Two if you don’t, one if you do.
