133rd Pangasinan Day Celebrations

Calle Duque Fernando is devoid of this early morning. Cars and other vehicles are nowhere to be found on this main thoroughfare, even bikes are missing. The pavements are another thing, though. Thronging with masses since sunrise, the people of San Carlos City eagerly await the start of the Civic-Military Parade to commemorate Pangasinan Day. On the opposite side of the Calle, food concessionaires are beginning to prepare for a long day ahead.

At the end of the road lies the Bulwagan ng Lehislatura, home of the legislative body of Pangasinan. On a raised dais, members of the press, foreign dignitaries and ambassadors, prominent figures of society, members of the Grand Assembly, and members of the executive all gather together. And at the forefront of them all, the Royal Family of Pangasinan sits on thrones specially made for the occasion.

At 0800H, the Royal Pangasinan Army Drum and Bugle Corp began playing their instruments. Leading the procession, they are immediately followed by representatives of the two royal regiments - the 1st Carabineiros and 2nd Hussars. After them, members of the Order of the Minokawa - civil and military exemplars whose dedication and achievements showcase the full potential of every Pangasinense.

The procession then continues, with the Office of the Prime Minister, representatives of the Grand Assembly, from the various ministries of the government, the National Police Commission and their brother agency the National Coast Guard, provincial and local government units, civil groups, native groups, and every sections of the community coming out to celebrate the country’s foundation.

Suddenly, a high-pitched whine can be heard, and soon, four F-9 fighter jets pass above the parade grounds. Spewing the blue-and-red of the national flag, the jets make a dazzling impression to the crowd as they proceed to perform aerial acrobatics. This doesn’t last long, however, for soon, the military part of the parade. Showcasing their latest hardware, they would be led by four Type 41 MBTs, the tank commanders saluting from their hatches.

As the parade wore on, some amongst the crowd veered away to the food stalls, sampling various delicacies and unique twists to local specialties. By the time the parade ended with the members of the 190th Reserve Division, barely more than a third remained. But it doesn’t matter, for a day of long festivities has only just begun.

1) Despite being a Christian majority nation, there are no substantial civil, political, or religious restrictions by the Malvekian government, with many civil liberties such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of movement being enshrined and protected by the New Constitution of Malvekia. Contraception is legal and widely sold across Malvekia (we actually produce plenty of it). Procedures such as abortion are legal but in certain states. Homosexuality is not a crime in Malvekia, but only certain states allows homosexual marriage.

2) Alcatus make up approximately 12% of the population, largely concentrated in the east coastal areas and islands of Malvekia. By law they are guaranteed equal rights like their human counterparts in Malvekia. However, there still remains discrimination and stigma of Alcatus in Malvekia, particularly in the rural west due to historical reasons.

3) Marijuana is legalised as both a medical and recreational drug alongside THC. However, production and distribution of marijuana requires a government-issued license. Other hard drugs are strictly prohibited.

4) There is the occasional pirate attack in Malvekian waters especially around the islands, but other than that Malvekia is safe like every other standard nation. Should watch out for the monsoon weather tho and try not to get lost in the jungle. Organised crime exists in Malvekia, but they are typically unseen by the general population and operate discreetly.

5) Malvekia's government is a elective constitutional monarchy. We have a Grand Duke as a head of state, who is elected from a Council of Kings to hold the title for 8 years. The everyday administration of Malvekia is the responsibility of an elected civilian government, who holds general elections once every five years. There is a wide spectrum of political parties in Malvekia, from far left to far right. Although far-left parties are viewed with some suspicion owing to past history with communists. Malvekia's current government is comprised of the Alliance of Hope coalition consisting of two center-left and left wing parties, supported by several confidence-and-supply-parties on major decisions to hold a simple majority of the government.

6) Malvekia's foreign policy is officially based on the principle of neutrality and maintaining peaceful relations with all countries, regardless of their political system, ideology, race or beliefs. Malvekia is willing to open diplomatic relations with all who are willing, as long as it does not compromise on Malvekia's sovereignty or territory.

7) Malvekia's main exports are agricultural goods, pharmaceutical products, palm oil, oil and gas, and vehicle parts. Imports consist of electrical machinery and equipment, metals, luxury goods, plastic products, chemical products, and finally optical, technical, and medical apparatuses

8) The Malvekian embassy shall be headed by the Malvekian ambassador to Counictva, Elster Amadeo.

Now, for trade. I propose that in exchange for $65.0 million of palm oil and related products for you, we will purchase $40.0 million in dairy products (milk and cheese) and $25.0 million in wine and grapes. Does that sound alright?

Counictva economics is decentralized in that oversight is limited over economic activity, as such it falls on the privately and cooperatively owned sectors to make use for products. The palm oil quantity is excessive at a first glance and way more than what the relatively impoverished (8,000GDP per capita) population could ever hope to reasonably use for cleaning and cooking. However, if the Malvekian private sector is willing to invest (or loan for cooperatives) money into new biofuel refineries within the Counictva, the deal would be reasonable.

Oh cool, so you’re pulling an Iran. Trying to copy superior technology/designs, but it fails the point of the design because you lack the prerequisite technologies.

Clearly the best response is to "proportionally response" their navy by half.
