It was a tough day for Dante Guillaume whose day ended very prematurely after an early crash on turn 5 following a lockup and sliding into the outside wall. The day was no better for Sanjaya Dirgantasana and Al-Hadi Nasser who were involved in a two car collision which ended the weekend for both drivers. Each emerged from their cars okay but V1 experienced it's first red flag as the cars were removed from the track and the outside safety barrier on the front stretch was repaired.

A few notable retirements today. Qui Hsu had to retire following mechanical problems specifically with her breaks. While Kyle Labonte and Sasaki Monodo also had to retire early following the two vehicles bumping into each other as Kyle Labonte made a move to the inside and destroying both driver's tires as they rubbed in the turn 10 corner. Monodo attempted to carry on but had to reitre citing rim issues following the collision.
