just as a note while we're talking about founding fathers, john jay and john adams are actually among my favorite and hamilton completely sidelined them

in ap gov once i was talking to the person sitting next to me and they were like "who is that third person that wrote the federalist papers" and i said "john jay" and the teacher overheard and was like "yeah everyone forgets about him". so the musical is not alone in that.

also i gotta believe that there's some ongoing joke or smth that spurred lin manuel to be such a john adams hater. from "john adams doesn't have a real job anyway" to "that little man who spoke to me" and the refusal to even cast someone, etc, it's gotta be a thing or smth

ideal washington cabinet is john jay accepting the offer to be secretary of state, but he wanted a judicial position instead (he went on to become the first chief justice and resigned with the fourth shortest tenure of the chief justices on account of boredom and dissatisfaction with the supreme court's lack of influence pre-marbury)

adams is the most prominent anti-slavery founding father (certainly more so than the "revolutionary manumission abolitionist" himself, mr hamilton) and his presidency was better than people give it credit for, but nah he's just a vertically deficient, volumetrically excessive ghost president according to lin-manuel

Another?

Terreich und Preussen wrote:As one of the Cartographers, Yes, they are allowed. For Inuit Cultures, I would suggest Yastreovakia and Northern Nonscio for Arctic First Nations. For Hybrid cultures, it would have to roughly match the continent it is on and have the lore of its creation make sense.

I see. It would depend on the slave history of those continents, or rather Serfdom policies seeing how most nations are Russia, UK, and France. My hybrid culture is known as Branmen, or Savikinuk (Ironman), are descendants of runaway and free Slaves/Serfs who settled in the region of Sivulika. Overtime, they either assimilated into the local Inuit people or created their own cultures merged from the Inuit's and their former homeland. Branmen get its name from "Branded" in reference to the method that the Slave/Serf owners would do to mark them as their property. Another emergence from this mixing of cultures is the creation of the Two Tongued, or Marruuk Oqaasii, which uses Inuit as the dominant use for words while English or whatever Valsora's equivalent is for words that don't translate over into Inuit. For example - Ullumi is Tallimanngorneq in the qaammat of Apriili (Today is Friday in the month of April).

Some of my Dudes™️are dragons, and could potentially get blown into the Arctic by a storm. Upon arriving, they'd be like "please help me I am very small* and very cold and also starving :(" and you could decide where to go from there. (I could end up as your ally or bitter enemy depending on how that goes, but don't worry, the Brethren version of "bitter enmity" is just passive-aggressive comments and a trade embargo)

*most of them are indeed very small

It would make sense for me to help them seeing how the Inuit people were very welcoming to the runaway and free Slaves/Serfs that moved to the region. Though that was their downfall as it introduced new diseases and they were also out-birthed* by the newcomers till they've become a minority in their own home.

* I don't know what word to use there.

How's it been Illi? have you recovered from the Valsora brainrot after 10 days of NS shutting down?

I was on tik tok so the brainrot got worse, also my friend convinced me to hop on Hoi4 which I haven't played for almost a year now.

Before we hated the cat people, now they have taken over with there weird anime lingual. I have seen space pikachu's, a chicken empire, furry nations, talking rats, nations with godcomplexes and whatever filth I thankfully have erased from my mind.

TSD's fragile mind has finaly broken.

Hey I'm looking at joining Valsora and the factbook on the Valsora NS Nation says to look at a statistical index nation that seems very outdate and/or inactive. Is there a more preferred way to set up stats for a nation? I actually kinda want to write my nation as having been from an alternate timeline of the irl US and having a one-time-and-then-never-available-again interdimensional teleport explain my nation's appearance, but I have feeling all that would be too hamfisty for Valsora and am tempted to find another route for my nation's history and/or where to roleplay
