A slightly different history from a slightly different past.

You take notice to an odd exhibit in the museum. A glass case containing clippings comprised of an odd material you've never seen before in writing that is eerily similar to writing you're familiar with but not quite exact. They look like news headlines spanning about a year, although some headlines are noticeably older than the rest. The headlines appear to be compiled in pages that have been extracted from a very old and torn up book that seems to be homemade. These clippings have been presented in order as the events are suspected to have happened with the translations being placed as label cards next to the actual clippings.

The plaque in front of the case reads, "Historical fragments of the other universe". You read the description, "These fragments portray the events leading up to the arrival of our ancestors of this world. The documents have been dated and authenticated, but further study is needed for the rest of the book. The author of the book remains unknown."
