The Dictatorship of Workers Republic of Korea is a small, safe nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, hatred of cheese, and absence of drug laws. The hard-nosed, cynical population of 26 million Koreans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The enormous, socially-minded government prioritizes Defense, although Education, Law & Order, and Welfare are also considered important, while Spirituality is ignored. The average income tax rate is 60.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Korean economy, worth 965 billion Korean Won a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient black market in Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, Automobile Manufacturing, and Retail. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 37,133 Korean Won, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The family summer vacation has become a thing of the past following the introduction of the year-round school year, the nation's universities are often mistaken for foreign embassies, kids' party bags often contain candy and e-cigarettes, and the new coalition government has 99 problems and can't agree on how to fix one. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Workers Republic of Korea's national animal is the Chollima, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Workers Republic of Korea is ranked 281,664th in the world and 1,044th in The Communist Bloc for Largest Gambling Industry, scoring -12.69 on the Kelly Criterion Productivity Index.
