A Geopolitical history of Ohkotsk (paid for by Ohkotsk ministry of truth)
In around 1500 A.D a group of yellowites and ultraviolitist crusaders put aside there differences after a particularly brutal battle nearby an unnasuming hill that would later be known as Ohkotsk City over time the small vilage grew out in size and influence with an influx of blackpowder arms from king Maxibari VII Ohkotsk always has and always will be known for its highly trained and disproportionatly large armed forces that protected Ohkotsk Citadel during the great siege of 1650 and during the Golden age of expansion in the 1700s where ohkotskian forces and settlers in search of better pastures headed south-west establishing the city of Roca Roja and the expiditions into the Ohkotsk jungle and eventual establishment of Anchorhead bay in 1710 Ohkotsks first foray into naval matters and sea trade and they proved to be quite adept at it with ohkotsk marines quickly becoming the bane of fleets the world over using fast ships and decisive boarding actions a tactic still used to this day,
Ohkotsk was relatively late to industrialise being able to rely on foreign connections and religous influence to do its bidding
and so the first few factories only really took off in the late 1860s a far cry from the Industrial powerhouse of today
it was all quite jolly untill disaster struck in 1880 with the advent of the great brancanland war where chemical warfare and strategic bombing from early airship prototypes rendered vast swathes of land in both countries uninhabitable fortunately ohkotsk city remained fine as the civillians took refuge in the vast armory and archives beneath ohkotsk city though life finds a way and today these contaminated areas have been reclaimed as national parks and or military testing grounds.
After phyrric victory in the great brancanland war Ohkotsk took a far more isolationist stance having witnessed the horrors of the home front instead building up defense and training civillians in the use of firearms it should be noted that conscription remained mandatory during this timeframe
The dire setting back in ohotsk allowed for the Communist party to be democratically elected with many seeing it as a means to a better life and for a while conditions improved untill Tensions with the nation of Blackacre reached a boiling point in 1951
and the first use of nuclear weapons in aggression was known while ohkotsk took a more moderate approach using nukes on enemy forces and key airbases Blackacre had no regards for civillians and almost wiped the above ground portion of ohkotsk city of the map if it wasnt for the OADF detonating several nukes along the flight path of the warheads and border kicking dust into the air and causing the enemy nukes to ablate and desintagrate mid flight a peace was forced on both nations by the World Assembly and to this day Ohkotsk and Blackacre remain rivals from the sea to the stars and everywhere in between.

It is more effort that I'll ever put in
