Apple pie is the best, hands down.

It feels like so many people my age are obsessed with lazy, overproduced, over-auto tuned, bubble gum pop type crap. I just don’t get the appeal. Can some other, more hip teen please explain for me? I’m literally a baby boomer in a gen Z body.

Why do we not play this on Discord or on the RMB?

I think we've run some games in Discord before, but I think most of our regulars enjoy the long-form game where you have a while to analyse others and carefully consider your strategy. :)

I dunno what the obsession with this is either, I just listen to Green day most of the time.

I think there's a lot of truth to this; I suspect that the great songs and stories tend to be preserved while the old ones are forgotten about. That may change somewhat in the digital era, since it's so much easier to keep records than it used to be, but over time societies will naturally filter out the crap and take steps to save the good stuff.

I think everyone goes through a ”The old times were better” phase. I thought the '80s were awesome when I was a preteen, back when Stranger Things first came out, but everytime I asked my dad, who grew up in the '80s, about those times he always said things are better now. The world was a way worse place to live in the '80s, at least outside of North America, Western Europe and a few other countries. I think nostalgia from some older people and the tendency for bad aspects of the past to get erased and good things to remain in our memories is responsible for a lot of people thinking things used to be better when they weren't, which I think is true whether we talk about music, film, society, poverty, war, or a lot of things.
