Yeah. How can you support tolerance if you don't tolerate an entire half+ of the political spectrum? Also imo equality isn't the best as absolute goal. All civilized societies have had hierarchies. And also, it oftentimes just means 'dragging the highest down to the level of the lowest'.
That being said, I think maybe Communist could possibly work as an economic system, in the sense of not causing the starvation of 20 million people, under a very specific set of circumstances, with the right people. My main problem is that it seems to inevitably lead to authoritarianism.
It just devolves into a police state (example : CHAZ movement)
My main answer for this is to have right-wing social policies but left-wing economic policy. True left-wing ideology was never compatible with authoritarianism
