Personally, I don't like the grassy taste, but given the almost brown sugar-like sweetness, I can understand why others do.
I personally prefer Milkshakes, thick, sweet, delicious, I have not tried a Malt, but I probably won't try it.

They are useful for gaining influence in the region, submitting proposals to the world assembly (you need 2 endorsements to do this), and showing friendship or general support for other nations. It is also used for becoming the region WA Delegate, but, in this region, there is an endorsement cap to disallow any nation from doing this.

Regional delegates are determined by the person with the most endorsements. Further, the more endorsements you have, the more influence you can accrue and the faster you get to that cap. Influence is the cost paid to ban or kick you from a region.
This is why most founderless regions (where the Delegate automatically gets regional control powers) have endorsement limits for users that are not part of the regional government. These limits help protect the region from hostile takeover.
