Today, the Presidium of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions of the USSR wishes to applaud Comrade Chairman Shavkat M. Miriziyoyev for his efforts to give wider powers to the working people of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, particularly by championing the establishment of the All-Union Council for Worker's Control (VsSRK), which is to be a body under the Ministry of Labour, and comprised of members elected by the trade unions.

As a result of this proccess, the Presidium of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions announces that Comrade Yuriy Mykolayovych Kulik, former chairman of the Council of Trade Unions of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, has been elected to serve as Acting Chairman of the All-Union Council for Worker's Control, until such time as the Congress of the trade unions is convened, and elects the permanent Council.

Additionally, preparations are now underway to convene an Extraordinary Congress of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions of the USSR as soon as possible, in order to elect permanent members to the VsSRK.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Waffland will be doing Eurovision this year

There are several reasons for this, most notably the fact that the Waffish conlang needs some changes (again) which means that I would unable to make any names, lyrics, etc.

Maybe next year tho!

Ta da my Eurovision entry

In my timeline, the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is a reformist party, and now embraces the ideological principles of 'Socialism of the 21st century'. Since the liberalization of the economy which began in 2006 under Anatoly Lukyanov, trade unions in the Soviet Union have had greater autonomy to engage in collective bargaining on behalf of their workers.

Strong state influence on the economy via central planning, with private enterprise being permitted. It entails an administrative-command system managed by a distinctive form of central planning, with basic elements of a highly-regulated free market. For my nation, the Soviet Union's economy is still shaped primarily by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union through successive Five Year Plans, decided upon at the plenary sessions of the Central Committee and Party congresses.
