A few months ago a fine nation was sentenced to the agony of CTEing by a hidden power. That nation's "crime" ? Promoting Decency.

This nation promptly created a successor. Today, still wanted by The Powers That Be, they survive as soldiers of wholesomeness.

You know what is shameful? Seeing that there are talented and aspiring young female artists out there doing paintings and drawings and such, that they share with other people online and get a few thousand likes on average. Meanwhile, you have young women posting suggestive swimsuit pictures on instagram that get millions of likes in an instant. We worship the body and ignore creativity and artisanship. Real talent is therefore not appreciated, we chase after transient things. Flesh fades. Eventually nothing will be left of us but skeletons. Our handiwork, however, now that may outlast us as something to be enjoyed for by our future generations. If you want to achieve immortality, make yourself stand out with your actions, and you will be talked about long after you are gone. Fame by appearance cannot last. It is a vanity that is fleeting and mired in hubris.

Still, I don't know which is more disappointing; that women would willingly objectify themselves for money and attention, throwing away countless decades of struggle by activists and social reformers to improve women's station in life, to highlight womenfolks accomplishments and combat misogyny and prejudice, than the fact that other people of my "kind", men that is, drool in the face of such superficiality and hollowness and enable the whole process to continue. OnlyFans wouldn't be a thing without the certainty that the girls know there will be hordes of men all too happily lusting after the "content" they put on for show. It is easy to blame the producer, but importance on part of the responsibility of the consumer should not be overlooked.

If you condemn child labor knowing that a company uses child labor in their 3rd world sweatshops, you don't buy their products or services. That is in your power. If you still do, more so unapologetically and without conflict of consciousness, you are a hypocrite, someone who trades moral-talk for peer approval and praise without a genuine commitment to actual morality. Morality is a matter of courage and strength, it is not expedient, it requires an offering on the altar of sacrifice. A moral action can only be exercised when one reneges on a benefit they could otherwise posses, without committing to a moral act.
