The People's Federation of Daak is a gargantuan, orderly nation, ruled by Dale of Daak with an iron fist, and renowned for its state-planned economy and punitive income tax rates. The cynical population of 23.444 billion Daakians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The enormous, moralistic, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dale. The average income tax rate is 69.1%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Daakian economy, worth 626 trillion Dollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, highly specialized black market in Book Publishing, Woodchip Exports, Gambling, and Tourism. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 26,726 Dollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Daakism has been named as Daak's national religion, Dale of Daak has just been declared ruler of Daak in an international press conference, education is transforming people into first-rate snobs, and the nation's taxpayers pay for foreign government's extravagances. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Daak's national animal is the horse, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its national religion is Daakism.

Daak is ranked 10,932nd in the world and 4th in Xedas for Largest Populations, with 23.4 billion capita.
