The Holy Empire of Slikios is a gargantuan, efficient nation, ruled by Overlord Bodil Underwood with an even hand, and renowned for its parental licensing program, frequent executions, and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-nosed, humorless, devout population of 11.645 billion Slikiosians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Administration, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Gurg. The average income tax rate is 68.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Slikiosian economy, worth a remarkable 1,014 trillion Yuskis a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized, fairly diversified black market in Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Arms Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 87,094 Yuskis, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Soldiers are equipped with multi-million Yuski battlesuits, warning signs caution Slikiosians where they may fall off 'the edge of the world', the environment is gorgeous so long as you're looking up, and dessert dishes make up the Slikiosian breakfast menu. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Slikios's national animal is the shark.

Slikios is ranked 256,272nd in the world and 71st in Caer Sidi for Safest, scoring 15.5 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
