Tension between Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia rises up once again after troops from both countries clashed today
CNINS,18:28 Wednesday April 24 2024

Today, Wednesday, April 24, the news broke that approximately between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning, a squad of soldiers from the Cordobez Army was patrolling the Cordobez-Yugoslav border in the disputed region of the Varenki Plateu untill, according to them, they accidently crossed the border and entered the Yugoslavian side.

After they crossed the border, they continued patrolling untill a group of Yugoslavian soldiers spotted them and tried to make them leave but the Cordobez squad refused, arguing that they were on their side of the border and violence began to rise between the two groups in the form of insults. After multiple minutes, some of the Yugoslavian soldiers fired warning shots and in one of this shots, a Cordobez soldier was injured after getting accidentally shot in its chest.

After the Cordobez soldier, identified as Corporal Ambert Erckens, got shot, the Cordobez squad quickly left the area and headed to the Hospital of Robbe, which was the nearest hospital, this in an attempt to save the life of the injured soldier who was now highly bleeding. After the squad managed to get to the hospital,Ambert Erckens had already lost a lot of blood and sadly didn't manage to survive.

This situation has caused controversy in whole Cordomonivence, with some saying its fault of the Yugoslavian group, others saying its fault of the Cordobez group and others highly critizicing that the Cordobez squad wasn't qualified for the task and couldn't provide the proper emergency treatment to the injured soldier.

The vice president Oda Adelinde Nussbaum already stated a request to the Yugoslavian government of identifying and properly punishing the Yugoslavian troops that were part of this aggresive action.

Thursday Resurgence

As the tense situation in the Capital continued to unfold, several Western-back groups had risen amongst the ashes of the state. Several of these groups had already infiltrated Eastern Yuguistan before, but had been low on numbers and supporters as their extreme ideology and "vision" of the state wasn't shared by many at that time; but now as the two juggernauts President Kruso and Prime Minister Husan duel for control of the Capital, and as the financial and economic situation of the state has continued to deteriorate, many of these groups have found increasing amounts of popularity, especially amongst the older demographic of the state.

On the outskirts of the ravaged Capital city, several Husan-aligned Paramilitary groups have established control of the roads leading into and out of the city. Husan himself hasn't been seen since 2 weeks ago when the Friday riots took place, he claims to have no connection with the Paramilitary organization known as TAPP but has had connections with several of the leaders who run the organization and has most likely given monetary support to the group.

As for President Kruso, he and the Military have had many minor successes in the past week, with the liberation of half the city and some form of order restored to the Capital, so far many of the run-ins with the TAPP haven't resulted in any known casualties on either side. But he has given the green light for intensified strikes against the TAPP and other Western-back Militant groups.

Kruso had also secured several power plants, airfields, and water plants, supposedly to allow many civilians to remain with safe drinking water, heat, and electricity.
While it may be under the guise of protecting civilians from Husan's violence, it may also be a furthered agenda to shed some good light back onto him, as he has launched his own separate news outlet and radio channel, as stated is probably an attempt to continue to shed good light on himself, while putting down Husan's actions as an uncalled for act of rage and terror.

New Gough Island Obserber
April 26, 2024
The Harsh Reality of the Great Southlands

The Great Southlands is a vast cold region of New Gough Island. It only has the population of 119,000 people spread over 70,000 sq mi (180,000 sq km). It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in the world. The population reached its peak of 148,000 people in the 2010 census and has since declined by nearly 20% since then. Despite warming temperatures and climate change, the region hasn't attracted new residents. The region is estimated to have a vast mineral and oil wealth in the region and off it's shores, yet to be touched. It's vastness and brutally cold winters have scared people away plus a regional cost of living crisis.

Temperatures regionally during the winter can reach well below 0 degrees F or -17.78 degrees C. The coldest temperature ever recorded in New Gough Island was -80 degrees F or -62.2 degrees C was recorded here. The New Gough Island Apls helps keep the brutally cold air from reaching the north. Where winter temperatures are warmer. And cold snaps are less extreme. Another problem the Great Southlands faces is darkness during the winter and midnight sun during the summer with the Great Southlands being within the Antarctic Circle.

The region sees a cost of living that is 50% or higher than the rest of the nation on average. The cost of gas is nearly ACU 6 per gallon diesel fuel is ACU 7 to 8 per gallon compared to the rest of the country where it is ACU 3 for gas per gallon and diesel ACU 4 per gallon. The average family spends about ACU 225 for groceries each week compared to the nation at ACU 150 per week for groceries. Rent is ACU 1,800 for the region average per month compared to the national average of ACU 1,200 per month. To buy a house in the region it will cost on average ACU 675,000 compared to ACU 300,000 for the national average. The region also struggles with higher poverty rates than average. The hope is that the national government will promote national parks to increase tourism and help alleviate the cost-of-living crisis.

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORRAWIA
Statements & Releases

The Republic of Morrawia is deeply troubled by the escalating tensions between Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia. The recent clash resulting in the tragic death of corporal-on-duty has raised serious concerns within our government.

Morrawia emphasizes the importance of upholding the principles of peace, stability, and cooperation within southern Thrismari and the loss of life in this incident underscores the urgent need for all parties to exercise restraint and prioritize diplomatic solutions.

Morrawia calls upon Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia to engage in immediate dialogue to de-escalate tensions and prevent further violence. It is imperative that both nations adhere to their commitments to peaceful conflict resolution and respect for territorial integrity in the confines of the Veligrad Pact.

Furthermore, Morrawia stands ready to provide diplomatic support and assistance to facilitate constructive dialogue and mediation efforts aimed at resolving the underlying issues fueling the current crisis. We urge all parties to demonstrate restraint and work towards a peaceful resolution in the interest of regional stability and security.

However, let it be known that Morrawia will not stand idly by in the face of continued aggression or disregard for diplomatic efforts. We strongly encourage Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia to heed this call for constructive diplomacy, as failure to do so may have consequences for both involved.

Katya Werner, a lobbyist for the legalization of prostitution, was a guest on SunTV, where she called for a boycott of the May 18 presidential elections and also announced protests in Planton city. She called the presidential candidates Kanaev and Vorobev "old cans" who are not capable of progress.

Acting President Vyaceslav Kanaev answered that:
,,Unfortunately, Planton City is turning into a nursery of anti-Christianity as well as the antithesis of family values, which are a basic part of the country's constitution. But those who respond to the protest, and there will be girls, let's call them, with low social responsibility. Who will be recognized by their neighbors. In any case, they will not change anything and legalization will not happen.,,

Communist candidate Anton Vorobev sees the reasons in the economy.

,,This shows how big a problem it is in our country, the main reason is the economy, which must be brought even closer to the people.,,

The protest was announced every Friday until the election

-In the extraordinary presidential elections, two more candidates appeared, Thalia Hines (Liberal-Civic Alliance) and independent candidate Thomas Weber. However, analysts believe that the main race will be between Kanaev and Vorobev.

-The First Minister of Layton District, Alisa Matveeva, announced free entrance to museums from next month. She also announced free public transportation for pensioners and elementary and high school students .

-A month after the election, there is still no new government in Planton City.Residents of the district are looking for those responsible.

- Five days until beginning of presidential campaign

The outcome of yesterday's State Elections was surprising. The Union of Communists and Socialists achieved victory in the South Coast, while in other states they became the first opposition force. The Democratic Party is the loser of these elections, the former leader of the party, Elizabeth Hall, said that this result is due to the negative sentiment against the party in the media after her impeachment.
The Right Alternative party achieved a solid result, although they stated that it could have been better. In Aleniya, they are the second strongest political force after the Christian Democrats, while in South Coast they are the last.Analysts claim that the result could not have been better for now, because the Christian Democrats are the first and the People and Justice are leading the country's conservative political scene.
The People's Republican Party-Christian Democrats and the People and Justice party can be overjoyed with the results, while they will form a coalition in Ontanava as well as in Montalbana. In the end, it can be said that the South Coast could predominantly vote for the candidate of the left, namely Vorobev, although most experts believe that Kanaev will win. The campaign starts in two weeks and two more candidates intend to participate.

LOST ASTORIA PLEDGES MILITARY, HUMANITARIAN SUPPORT TO CORDOMONIVENCE IN EVENT OF WAR
The two Archthanes voiced their support for Cordomonivence in a statement released yesterday. The Anterian Diplomacy Act, passed earlier this year, grants Archthane Elidibus Dal Astor exclusive control over Lost Astoria’s diplomatic relations, allowing him to send physical resources to any nation as long as Archthane Viatroth Dal Astor XXII allows such shipments. In their statement, the two Archthanes expressed this sense of cooperation with one another, putting much of Lost Astoria’s nobility at ease.

The Archthanes plan to send a portion of the country’s navy to Cordomonivence, with most ships being stationed around the cities of Cordobenza and Mushnetman. In addition to defense, a small number of ships will also serve as emergency evacuation vessels.

Swish President fights Combatant in the Capitol
4/30/2024

Good evening, afternoon, morning, and maybe even Night! I'm your host, Julie Lopez, and this is your co-host, Dante Lorenzo. Today's story is about the Swish President, Eduard Hoffman, fighting a combatant who attempted to attack him during a press conference in the capitol.

Brought to you by the Swish Broadcasting Service...

Recently, Eduard Hoffman attended a press conference addressing his plans for the future of Swinas. He discussed his plans for economic growth, greater efforts in the Space Program, and more interesting topics. Suddenly, when Mr. Hoffman walked further up the stage, a man in a black hoodie charged at him, taking him off guard. Instead of waiting for his security guards, he decided, as he later said, to use his Jiu-Jitsu skills to fight the man. He quickly did the Arm Bar on the man, and eventually the guards took him away.

The man who attacked him would later be identified as Kyle Hammond, and would be pardoned by Mr. Hoffman himself. The president would elaborate on his plans for the Space Program, hoping to encourage private space organizations and commercial space flights, and for the Government's space program to do research on the cosmos. When the combatant was asked why he attacked the president, he said that he was part of an organization which wanted to bring attention to the environment, and he had agreed to attack the president during his live press conference.

OFFICE OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING

STATEMENT
about the military situation in Severje

I, king Paul I, your own sovereign, have certain obligations toward you, to my citizens and subjects, to the Yugoslav people. My duty is to guard and defend Yugoslavia, even if such a policy costs me my head. Furthermore, I have to diligently inform the nation, whenever it is needed, about all possible events which threaten, or could threaten our country.

With that in mind, I am saying this as the Supreme Commander of the Kingdom's Armed Forces. Everyone is acquainted with the deaths of two Cordobez soldiers, which entered our sovereign territory and repeatedly refused to leave. On that occasion, the Vice President of Cordomonivence, Mrs Nussbaum, with whom I had always had good and professional experiences, made it known that she is condemning our entire state, as well as our Cossacks, whom they blame for the deaths.

The question I ask the Cordobez government is: would you condemn your boys which defend your border the same as you did ours if they killed armed foreigners that entered your country. It is regrettable that, contrary to the truth, they cannot confess and say the real situation - and that is that their soldiers made a mistake. Major-general Uljanov is tasked with maintaining an adequate and forceful defence of the north, and I, as his commander, say that all military officers always receive absolute support from the Crown. It was always like that, it is like that, and will be like that as long as I am the King.

You have just spat our people in the face, which you antagonise and condemn, and all because of your military mistake. So let it be known that, while I am King and you do not retract the condemnation, there will be no normalisation of relations.

Opening of the 17th Congress of the Communist Party is marked by Workers' Day parade and celebrations by Alberto Bartelemi, 01/05/2024.

"The workers' struggle continues, and will not stop until the proletarian class is emancipated worldwide!" said Alejandro Coronil in a speech to the masses in Guaitiao today, right before him, international guests like the Sukongese Minister of Foreign Affairs, party members and the president joined the march towards the Palace of the Revolution. The parade included the participation of a contingent of the USWR's Revolutionary Guard and Sukong military personnel, who marched alongside the Association of Combatants of the Montillan Revolution. The marching crowd was saluted by people from the windows as they went, with the event being televized nationwide.

The opening ceremony of the Party Congress started with an orchestral rendition of the National Anthem of Montilla and the Internationale, sang by a chorus of the Vicente Manzanedo Student Movement and the Revolutionary Pioneer Organization, who were praised for their performance by party members. Next was a speech by the General Secretary, Alejandro Coronil, in his first speech since starting in the role. "We may have achieved the absolute authority of the proletariat at home, but the stubborn existence of the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie worldwide shows that our work isn't done. The PCM must return to its roots of international workers' solidarity, we must be the shining example to the proletariat across the oppressed world, an example that an alternative to rampant capitalism exists and is stronger than ever!" The speech was received with cheers and ovation from the party membership. "We must work closely with our comrades in the USWR and Sukong, to ensure that the red dawn may one day rise upon the entire world."

The opening ceremony was followed by the official elections to the role of General Secretary, where Alejandro Coronil won unopposed with an absolute majority vote. You can see the full list of votes in the website of the Communist Party. The vote was followed by a debate of party members with leaders of the Workers' Central Union of Montilla about the future course of the proletarian revolution. The closing ceremony included a rendition of socialist hymn and a speech by Carla Cotilla about the role of women in socialism. "I may be the second female president in Montillan history only for a brief period of time, but my presence here shows to every girl in Montilla that they too can lead their revolution one day."

In Guaitiao, street celebrations lasted for the entire day, with live music by national bands like Los Magos and Salsa Mayor del Cańaveral at the Playa del Guarano and live transmission of the party congress. Celebrations are planned to continue until tomorrow's (Independence Day) evening.

PRESIDENT PELIKÁN URGES DIPLOMATIC APPROACH IN A CALL WITH PRESIDENT PORSCHE OF CORDOMONIVENCE

In a diplomatic effort to quell rising tensions following a border incident between Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia, President Marcel Pelikán engaged in a crucial telephone conversation with his Cordomonivence counterpart, President Hermann Ignaz Porsche. The call, initiated by President Pelikán, sought to address the escalating crisis and prevent the outbreak of war in the region. Expressing deep concern over the loss of life and the potential destabilization of the area, President Pelikán urged President Porsche to exercise restraint and explore diplomatic avenues for resolution. Already, National House hinted at a potential call with Prime Minister Novosel of Yugoslavia in the near future.

The transcript of the phone call is as follows:

[Both leaders are connected and the call commences]

Porsche: Mr. President?

Pelikán: President Porsche, this is Marcel Pelikán. How are you?

Porsche: The situation is tough right now, but other than that, all is good.

Pelikán: My deepest condolences go to the family of Corporal Erckens´ family. However, this should not be the beginning of something bigger. Anavero is out of the picture, the last thing we need is a war in southern Thrismari.

Porsche: Thank you kindly for the words of sorrow. Also I couldn't agree more with your words, President Pelikán but rest assured, the Yugoslavian government's actions cannot go unanswered. We must show strength and resolve to protect our borders and our people.

Pelikán: Mr. Porsche, my role here is not to go to one side and support them. I am talking to you on the behalf of the whole region not wanting any violence. I still implore you to seek venues of diplomacy through Veligrad Pact, as that is the arbiter of peace and stability around the world.

Porsche: I assure you, we are exploring all diplomatic avenues to prevent any further escalation.

Pelikán: Good, good. Because, you see, I will not drag Morrawia into conflict, but I must protect the trading routes, not just for me but for other countries through the Torgea Strait.

Porsche: I understand Mr. Pelikán. Rest assured, Cordomonivence is committed to upholding the peace within the Veligrad Pact. We value our alliance with Morrawia and the principles of peace and cooperation it represents.

Pelikán: I need more than just words. I need action. I urge you to use your influence to ensure that tensions are diffused swiftly and effectively no matter who you or anyone think stands behind the disastrous situation at the border!

Porsche: I assure you, Cordomonivence is working tirelessly to find a solution to this situation.

Pelikán: I'm glad to hear that, Herr Porsche. But let me be clear: if this situation escalates further, Morrawia will have no choice but to take action to protect it´s interests!

Porsche: Understood, Mr. President.

Pelikán: I appreciate your cooperation, Herr Porsche. Let's work together to ensure that peace prevails in our region. You can see Morrawia as a possible mediator in this situation. As a friend.

Porsche: Thank you for that, I will surely keep that in mind.

Pelikán: Thank you, Mr. President. Let's hope for a swift and peaceful resolution to this crisis. Goodbye.

Porsche: Goodbye, President Pelikán, have a nice day.

The Federal Assembly passes a new public protection law in the midst of a military crisis
Narodne novine, 4th May 2024, 17:51

In the midst of the chaos in Severje, in which a Cordobez officer-on-duty died, the House of Peoples, the lower house of the Federal Assembly, got to work. The proposal, coming from deputies Jurij Novak and Ekaterina Samirova of the National Salvation Party, falls within the civil protection competence of the federal government, and it received widespread support from the legislature. The bill introduced a few points which will greatly change the relationship between the military and the people of Yugoslavia.

a) military draft age will be lowered to 17, effective next draft call (2024/2025)
b) conscientious objectors will not be discharged from the military service anymore, they will serve the entirety of the draft in non-violent obligations (cleaning, cooking, working for public good, etc.), effective 2025
c) military's responsibilities enhanced in an event of martial law
d) draft's duration expanded from 3 to 6 months of service, effective 2025
e) every so often the military will call ex-conscripts to serve a month in the military again, no more often than once every two years

Deputy Samirova exclaimed the importance of a flexible military in trying times, and the recent expansion of the defence budget is meant to cover the induced cost of the law. The law passed almost unanimously, with 476 votes in favour, 40 votes against, and 23 abstentions. The only party openly opposing the law is the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, whose leader in the House of Peoples, deputy Igor Krovnij, said that this entrenches the class struggle and subjugates the average worker, bringing tyranny.

The law now awaits voting in the upper house, Royal Council, after which it will go to the King for royal assent. Were it to pass, the law would thoroughly change the position of the Royal Army in the everyday lives of Yugoslavs.

Resolution in support of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia, Cordobez Communist Party and in condemnation of militarism in Southern Thrismari by 17th Congress of the Communist Party of Montilla, 04/05/2024.

The following resolution was approved through absolute majority in the 4th day of the 17th Session of the Congress of the Communist Party of Montilla.

The Communist Party of Montilla, in its role of vanguard of the Montillan proletarian revolution, expresses its support for our comrades in the Communist Party of Yugoslavia and the Cordobez Communist Party in their fight against the militaristic escalation of the diplomatic crisis between the Federation of Yugoslavia and the Democratic States of Cordomonivence, in yet another blow to the well-being of the working class at the expense of the greed of the bourgeoisie and the private military-industrial complex. Regardless of causes, we must be opposed to military escalation in consistency to our support of the proletarian struggle wordlwide. We urge member parties of the IOCSP and comrades around the world to adopt a similar position, at their own discretion.

In the event of war in Southern Thrismari, the People's Republic of Montilla is ready to offer political asylum to members of communist and socialist movements in both Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia in case of state retaliation against any eventual anti-war activism.

The Federal Communist Party's official stance on the Yugoslavia - Cordomonivence crisis

We, the Federal Communist Party of Sukong , stand firm with our comrades in both Yugoslavia and Cordomonivence, in their fight against the militaristic escalations between both of their nations. We have informed them of our support for their cause, and condemned the actions of both nations’ governments, with them sacrificing the well-being of their low and working classes in order to help fuel the bourgeoisies’ never-ending need for expansion with the intent of enlarging profits.

We, the People and the Government of Sukong, are ready to extend a helping hand to any individuals or groups if in need, in both Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia. We have decided to follow in the footsteps of our Montillian comrades, and are ready to offer asylum to anyone in need of one in case of further escalations.

In the name of peace and socialism:
The Government and the People of Sukong.
